Happy Monday!

Evie:

My alarm went off and I crawled out of bed. I got dressed and wore a gray dress with white lace on the top, a white quarter-sleeve length cardigan, black ankle strap wedges and added gold chain tassel earrings and four gold bracelets.
I drove to the school, and walked over to Cassie who was getting out of her car.

"Hey," I said.

"Hey," she replied as she shut her car door. It's been a week since Blackwell returned to Chance Harbor. "I spoke to my father last night, he says the rest of the circle can meet him Saturday at the abandoned house."
Saturday was three days away. Three more days of us lying.

"Alright, I'll make sure they're there. How's Jane?"
When Henry died someone used magic to tamper with Jane's mind and she went to a witch doctor to get some help.

Cassie sighed, "Some of it is coming back, but there's something someone really didn't want her to remember. It's taking a bit longer than it should, but I spoke to her the other day, things seem to be going fine despite that."

"That's good," I replied.

                                      ******

The rest of the week flew by pretty quickly. Usually when we're not occupied with circle business, time seems to go faster. Today the rest of the circle would find out John Blackwell is back in Chance Harbor. I still had the impression he was hiding something big from us, but he was Cassie's father and I didn't want to strain my friendship with her based off a feeling.
I threw on some high waisted black jeans with a white cropped cami top, a leather jacket and black heeled boots.

I drove to Jake's house, and texted him. I'm here. The front door opened, and he came out. He had black jeans, a navy blue v-neck t-shirt, and black boots on.
He got in the car and we drove to the abandoned house. Cassie was already there, no doubt with her father. We went inside, and shortly after the others showed up. Blackwell remained hidden for the time being to avoid scaring everyone else away.

"So what's the meet up for?" Melissa asked.

"I think I know a way to defeat the witch hunters, and I got some help," Cassie said. John walked into view with his hands in his front jean pockets.

"Cassie.." Diana began with a warning tone. "Who is this?"

"John Blackwell. This is my father."

"What?" Adam asked in pure shock. Their mouths were hung open and I'm sure if their faces could stretch enough their jaws would hit the floor.

"He knows a way, just hear him out," Cassie said.

"Why aren't you surprised?" Adam and Faye asked in unison.

"Jake and I already knew. He visited me first. Well, not really visited, more like invaded."

"How long have you guys known about this?" Diana asked.

"A little over a week," Jake replied shortly. I could tell Diana was mad, but Cassie wanted us not to, and I couldn't defy that.

"I'm really sorry," I said.

"Why would he help us? He's missed out on almost seventeen years of your life," she said to Cassie. "And you just let him waltz on in?"

"He's my father Diana, he's the only family besides my grandmother that I have left."
I knew they were hesitant, I think we all are besides Cassie. They didn't like this, but they listened to what Blackwell had to say anyways. He didn't reveal much, only that he had an idea but he needed to go through the spell books to make sure it was possible and to do more research. We would just have to be patient. Meanwhile, Valentine's Day was tomorrow, and tomorrow night Faye was having an anti-Valentine's Day party while Dawn would be out at a dinner.
When the meeting at the abandoned house was over, everyone left. No one wanted to spend more time than they needed to in the same vicinity as John Blackwell. Jake and I got in my car, and I drove us back to my house. We sat upstairs on my hovering swing-like sofa in my lounge room.
