I'm excited, my best friend gets to come spend a couple days with us this week and I get Christmas break in two days.

Evie:

When Jake and I woke up, we got dressed. I wore black high waisted jeans, a black crisscross spaghetti strap tank top, and black thigh high boots.
I waited for Jake downstairs and when he came down I laughed. We matched. He wore black jeans and a black v-neck. Typical.

We stopped by the boathouse and I got a latte. Adam was there, and walked up to me while Jake was at the counter.
"Hey."

"Hi. Are Faye, Cassie and Diana here yet?" I asked. The five of us were going to meet up here and then go to Royce's house.

"No, but they should be here in a bit. Let me know what you guys find out."

"We will."
By the time Ethan made my latte, the others showed up. We took Cassie's car, and Jake had to give her directions since we only went there once and it was long ago.
Royce lives isolated outside of town, hardly any neighbors around; the nearest house is at least a twenty minute walk away. We pulled up the driveway, and like before, you could hardly tell anyone lived here.

"Let's try not to get tabled again," Faye said sarcastically. The last, and only, time we'd seen Royce, he almost crushed us with a table. Let's just say he's not a very people-y person.
I knocked on the door, and I heard multiple latches unlocking several seconds later. The door opened slightly, and I saw Royce's face. He smiled when he saw me, and instantly allowed us inside. He scanned the surroundings outside then closed the door, locking all seven latches.

"My girl," he laughed, giving me a hug. He knows about my engagement to his grandson, and I consider him a grandfather, since I never had one. In discovering Thomas wasn't my father, it was also revealed Henry wasn't my grandfather. He hugged Jake after me.

"What brings all of you back?" He asked.

"This, grandpa," Jake replied, handing over the card sent to his work address from Royce.

"I see," he said. "I'm not crazy, you guys have to believe me. I know they're coming."

"Royce," Diana began. "We believe you. You were right about Blackwell's other children. We just don't have any proof that the others know who they are, let alone who we are. How do you know?"

"It's logic, sweetheart. The other two circles on the east coast are within hours of each other. There's at least a fifty-fifty chance that their paths crossed somewhere already. You seven need to be ready. You may even have to use the crystal skull."

"Adam destroyed it," I responded.

"It's gone?" Royce asked. "But that can't be right."

"Royce," Diana said in a warning tone. "What do you mean?"

"It- it's not right. I can still feel it's power radiating like shockwaves."
It's still here.

"We need to talk to Adam," Faye said. "Now."

"Yeah, you're right," I replied. Adam didn't get rid of the skull. In fact, he's kept it here this entire time.
When we were in the car, I finally asked. "If he left it here, then why would he leave and go to Phoenix?"

"Do you think Melissa knew?" Faye asked.

"That could be likely, but I doubt it. Melissa wouldn't put everyone in that kind of danger," Diana responded.

I muttered, "Neither would Adam."
We parked outside the boathouse and went inside. I scanned the room, while Diana talked to Ethan. I found Adam at a table in the back.
