Right there in front of them, is that missing kid from Karasuno.
Right there in front of them, chained to a rock in a rather swampy area, sitting in what appeared to be a giant nest built out of dry grass.
Bones of animals (and probably humans) tied to string hung from the trees, making noise whenever the wind would blow.
The forest is now eerily silent. Still. No noise but the breaths they let out.
"Holy shit," they both say, quickly running over to him, but he hastily scrambled away from them, yelling and kicking.
"What the fuck do we do?" Takinoue asks, panicked. "I don't know! Hold on give me a fucking second," Shimada says, equally panicked. "Find like a rock, or something to break the chain."
He nods and looks around the swampy area, but he manages to find one and and bashes it against the rusted chain until it finally breaks.
But Tobio scurries away from them, eyes closed and still yelling.
They manage to get ahold of him. "Hey hey it's okay," Takinoue says in his best gentle voice as Shimada rummages through the backpack for something.
"It's just us. Do you remember us? Shimada and Takinoue," he seemed to calm down a bit."Yeah that's it. Come on. Let's get you outta here," he says and gently picks him up.
He's light and a little bony, probably from the lack of food. Also dirty, very dirty and bloody. He briefly wondered who's blood it belonged to. Was it his? An animals? Another persons? Or both? Not that he wanted to stick around long enough to find out who had done this to an innocent kid.
So they make it out of the swamp and forest as fast as they can, and by then it's around afternoon.
Takinoue quickly gets him into the car and sits in the back seat with him, speeding off to the hospital.
