Tobio decided to go to practice with them, and as he neared the door to the gym, his anxiety grew worse. His knuckles were turning white from his own fist.
Ittetsu saw this, and did the first thing that came to mind: hold his hand.
Even when Keishin had opened the door to let them in, he was tightly gripping on to the club advisors hand.
And just like that, Nishinoya and Tanaka were the first to tackle him onto the ground. He let out a small yelp, not really expecting it, though he should have.
Ennoshita was the one to help him up and pulling him into a hug. When they pulled back, he gave a little wave over to the rest of his teammates.
They instantly noticed the bandage on his arm. Coach shook his head, having a feeling they were about to ask about it.
However it was quickly dismissed when he was pulled into tight long hugs from everyone else, Hinata being the last and squeezing the hardest, wiping his eyes with his sleeve when he had to let go of his friend.
"Alright back to practice!" Ukai yells, wanting to stir them up. They let out groans. "But that's not fair," Nishinoya argued. "How isn't that fair? We're at the gym, what else would we do besides practice?"
"But-"
"Go back to practice,"
"Coach come on man," Tanaka tries, "can't we just have the afternoon off?"
"Coach stop stirring them up," Takeda says. Ukai rolls his eyes and sighs. "But it's fun," he said. Takeda elbowed him gently. Keishin had nudge him back in return.
"Fine. I'll stop," he says in a flat voice. The kids looked over at their coaches with hope. "Yes, you're obviously getting the afternoon off."
The team cheered and gave thank you's, opting for sitting in a circle on the gym floor. Hinata had decided to sit next to Kageyama, while Kiyoko had sat on Tobio's other side.
They were obviously and rightfully eager to talk to him, which he had responded by writing on the sketchbook.
Although Ukai and Takeda had interfered when the team were starting to ask too many questions.
