Through the duration of the day, Kageyama had been quiet (as usual).
He kept to his business and had his nose buried in the book, occasionally stopping to take a break and go on his phone, as it had been quite sometime since he was last on it.
"You know, um, if you're ever hungry you can just grab whatever you want off the shelves right?" Ukai had said around midday, in the middle of eating his own lunch.
Kageyama made a chirping sound as a response. It might not have been much, but it was a start, and if they keep on encouraging him, he might even start talking again.
"Are you getting bored being inside all day?" A little. "Yeah okay thought so. My break is in ten minutes, we'll go for a walk then if you want."
In ten minutes time that's exactly what they did. It was just around several blocks, but Ukai had noticed Kageyama's mood lighten up a little by the time they hadn't gotten back to the store. Tobio had sat back down and gotten into his book again.
The day had passed by peacefully and was now heading towards afternoon, which had meant practice time.
Seeing how wrapped up he his in his book, Ukai gets up and taps him on the shoulder, making him jump. "Sorry. Afternoon practice, are you coming?"
Tobio looks down at the outfit he's wearing and tugs on the pyjama pants he didn't bother to change out of.
"Oh we can go back home if you want?" No that's okay. He didn't want to be a bother. He just feels lucky enough that the two are letting him stay with them.
Truth be told, but he didn't actually want to have to to live alone when they were to release him from the hospital. Though he doubts that his teammates would have actually let him do that.
"Let's go then," Keishin unlocked the car for him, as he didn't want to walk home. Tobio taps him on the shoulder, where are we going?
"Home, so you can swap your pants," but your going to be late. "Yeah I don't really care about that. I'm sure what's-his-face can handle everything for a few minutes."
