Keishin woke up in the middle of the night, needing to go to the bathroom and wanting a glass of water afterwards.
He went to check on Tobio, so he opened the door wider, as quietly as he could and squinted through the darkness. He couldn't quite see properly, so he crept in.
His heart started beating faster as the only lump on the bed is the cat. He turned the light on, waking her up. He's right, they're the only ones in here.
Ukai rushed out of Kageyama's room and into the study, hoping that he had just fallen asleep in there, but he hadn't.
Frantically, he started turning on all the lights in the house, checking everywhere, there appeared to be no sign of him.
He ran back into his room, shaking Ittetsu wide awake. "Keishin, what?" he asks tiredly. "What's the-hey what's wrong?" He asks, noticing the panicked look on Keishins face. "He's gone-i-i-um-I can't."
"Keishin, hey, hey take a breath and tell me what's wrong?"
"Tobio I can't-I can't find him."
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know. I've looked everywhere. He's not here."
"Let's go find him then." Takeda says gently, in a calming voice, trying to not to get himself panicked-or make his boyfriend worse.
Ukai is the one to go and grab both sets of keys off the rack, and when they got to the front door, they noticed it was ajar.
"You gonna be okay driving by yourself?" Takeda asks. "Fuck, yes, I'm fine." He snaps, quickly putting his shoes on and turning the car on.
"I'm going to go and call Makoto and Yuusuke okay?" Takeda says from outside the window. Kieshin nods his head quickly, shutting the car door and driving off.
Takeda drives off in a different direction, calling Takinoue first, who did not seem to be very pleased at being woken up in the middle of the night.
"What the actual fuck is wrong with you?" He groans out in annoyance. "Can't it wait until morning?"
"No. Tobio's missing."
"Wait, what?"
"Tobio's missing, we can't find him" He repeats. "Oh shit, I'll get my keys and help look." He says in a more serious voice, now awake.
Takinoue did as he said and hopped in his car, he wasn't sure exactly where he's driving off to or should be looking, he just hopes that one of them will find him before something happens to him, although he did have a feeling that he should be driving near forest type areas.
Apparently, he turned out to be right, as twenty minutes later, Takinoue spotted someone walking alongside the road.
He slowed down and turned the head lights on, sure enough it was Tobio, still in his pyjamas and covered in dirt.
Takinoue rolled the window down, slowing the car. "Kageyama? Hey kid, watcha doin' out here?"
He gets no response, Tobio just continues to walk.
Sighing, he stops the car and gets out, following after him, and grabbed his hand. Kageyama jolts, and turns around with wide terrified eyes, obviously confused.
"Come on, I'll take you back to my house, okay?" Kageyama stays holding his hand, until he has to let go to get into the passenger seat.
It's a quick drive back to Takinoue's house, and Tobio's glad to be inside of a house and safe.
Yuusuke gave him a towel. "Go for a shower and get cleaned up, I'll call Keishin and Itettsu, okay?"
He nods slowly, taking the towel off of him to go and have a shower, getting rid of all the dirt that somehow ended up on him and under his finger nails.
As soon as he got out with the towel wrapped around his waist, he's pulled into a hug. "Hey are you okay? What happened?" Ukai asks, checking his body for any injuries, then was pulled into another hug.
"We got you some spare clothes." Takeda says, handing over a backpack. "You didn't have any lone sleeves though."
Tobio gave him a thumbs up, going back into the bathroom to change, when he came back out, the four were sitting in the lounge, lights dim.
He sat at the edge of the couch, but close enough to Takeda that he could touch him, feeling a little uncomfortable.
"Hot chocolate?" Shimada offers, giving him a cup of warm hot chocolate.
"Has that ever happened before?" Takinoue is the one to ask. Kageyama shrugs and glances over at Takeda and Ukai.
He takes out his notebook. 'Yes.'
'Do you know what happens to you, or where you go?'
'No'
"When was the last time this happened?" Tobio shrugs. 'Not sure, maybe 7.'
Tobio stretches and subconsciously leans against Takeda, tired, and rightfully so.
Shimada us the one who gets up, and when he comes back with a blanket and pillow in hand, Kageyama has already fallen back asleep.
