"Coach something happened," Daichi immediately says. Tobio glared at him, a book already in his hand.
He throws it at him. He throws another one. And another one. Then one more. He went to reach for a fifth book when he found nothing there.
Luckily Daichi managed to dodge most of them.
"Shit, what the fuck happened?" Asahi reaches for the bin. "He coughed this up,"
"What the fuck. What the fuck is that?" Takeda takes the strand off of him, "I think it's hair,"
"And a bone," Sugawara says. "Jesus Christ,"Takeda pulls Ukai outside. "It's as Takinoue said," he whispers. "Wait, hold it, what did he say?"
"He thinks something paranormal happened to him," Ukai still looks a little clueless."The other night, after we visited Kageyama for the first time and you were getting drunk at the bar," Ukai cringes at that, "Takinoue had said he thought that something strange, something paranormal and supernatural had happened to him."
Ukai thinks for a moment. "I mean, considering everything, it's not the most far fetched thing in a world," they see a nurse walking towards him, a tray in hand, followed by another nurse.
She smiles at them and head into the room. The second nurse stayed outside.
"Oh, are we having a party in here?" She joked, handing over the tray.
Like the other day, he had pushed the tray to the side. "This is getting a little repetitive and old you know?" He pushes it further away from him.
"Dude, again, I will force it down your throat. Now stop stalling and start eating," he scowled at her.
"Eat your goddamn lunch," he huffs but starts eating.
Once finished he pushes the tray then stacked the books back up.
"Sorry to cut this short guys but nap time is important, especially after being so sleep deprived for so long," she says. Tobio gives both the adults a hug. Then the third years.
The second nurse had ushered them out of the room.
Although several seconds later, now in the lobby area, the door had flung open and Tobio ran out, both nurses went after him.
"Tobio get back here!" The two yell.
Asahi is caught in the middle of the three. "Tobio please, you have to take it," the first lady says in a begging tone.
A third nurse had snuck up and grabbed him from behind. He let out a yelp.
He tried to break free from his grip but couldn't and wasn't able to.
Keishin quickly enters the room, to find both nurses restraining him while the third was trying to give him the liquid medication.
He rushed over to him, in hopes of calming him down and to ease him in any way.
Ukai sits on the bed next to him and gently but very firmly wraps his arms around him. He didn't exactly know what he was doing, but he tried his best anyway.
"Hey hey it's okay," he reassures. Tobio shakes his head, crying hysterically, jerking whenever one of the nurses tried to touch him.
Keishin uses one of his hands to rub up down while the other one was used to comb through his hair.
They gave the two a bit of space, to let Kageyama calm down a little. "It's going to be okay, I promise," Tobio shakes his head again, arms wrapped loosely around his coaches neck.
"You just gotta let them help you okay?" The sobbing had stopped and turned into sniffling and hiccuping, but the tears were still falling. "Things are gonna get better alright? I promise."
"It watches me sleep," Kageyama whispers. Ukai freezes for a moment, but continues stroking his hair.
That's when the male nurse stuck the needle in, to sedate him. Then the first nurse put the liquid sleep medication into his mouth.
"No no please," he begs, spluttering and coughing at the sudden liquid in his mouth, but it was too late, both the medication is already in his system.
Keishin eases him into his sleep, lying him down and pulling the covers up so he won't be cold.
He walks out toward the waiting room where he finds the five sitting there patiently.
"Coach what happened just then?" Daichi says, confused and worried, like the other three.
"Kageyama doesn't want or like to sleep. They give him stuff that helps him sleep, but he rejects them," he left out the 'it watches me sleep' part on purpose.
"Isn't there anything we can do?" Sugawara questions. Coach shakes his head. "No."
They're now outside of the hospital. "He'll be alright, I think, eventually," they say their goodbyes, heading their seperate ways.
