Shortly enough the police have arrived. "I'm sorry but you're going to need to come with us," the two comply and follow the police over to the station.
They're now in seperate rooms about to be questioned.
"Hello, my name is Nakashima Mië and I will be questioning you today," she says, introducing herself, as part of the procedure.
"Are you aware that the boy you found today has been missing for nearly three months now?" He nods, "Yes."
"Right, and did you know him?"
"Kind of. He goes to Karasuno, my friends coach the volleyball team," He gives a glimpse over at the camera recording him."What are the names of these friends?"
"Um Ukai Keishin and Takeda Ittetsu," he answers."So what happened earlier today, exactly, when you found him?" He gives a small yawn, exhausted after walking all day.
"Sorry. My friend who's in the other room and I went hiking. Usually we go with Keishin and Ittetsu but they couldn't go, I don't remember I think it was work stuff or something, so we just went by ourselves," he paused and takes a sip of the water she offered him.
"We went off trail. I know we shouldn't have but we marked the trees so we didn't get lost, and we've been in that forest a hundred times. So anyway, it was around midday or so when we decided to take a break and have some lunch,"
"My friend Shimada, said he had heard some kind of noise and followed it. This was like a real swampy kinda area but we kept on following this rattling noise. That's where we came across Kageyama, who was chained to this giant rock," he paused to take another sip of water, throat dry.
"You said he's chained to a rock?" She questions. "Yes, one of his wrists was chained to the rock. But I find a small sharp rock and managed to break the chain, as it was old and rusty. But he was in some kind of nest-well that's what it looked like anyway," he took a breath.
"He was laying in some kind of dry grass, and there were animal bones, tied with string, hung from the trees. Oh and the trees had these weird marking on them. And there were more bones scattered around the swamp," she seemed perplexed and intrigued.
She gets up, opens a cabinet then sits back down, unrolling a map, handing him a pencil and pen.
"If you were able to, would you be able to point it out?" He takes the stationary off of her and said, "I can try,"
He uses the pencil first to mark out roughly the path they walked and the area where they had found Tobio, before going back and tracing it in red.
"Thank you, this is very helpful. Apologies for taking up your time," he nods and walks off, finding that Shimada was already waiting for him in the car.
