Tobio woke up the next day in the queen sized bed, a little confused on how he had gotten there, not remembering last night.
He gets up, still half asleep and drags himself into the kitchen, grabbing a seat, resting his head on the table. "Morning," came Ukai's voice.
He didn't bother asking how he slept, since he already knew the answer to that. He places a bowl of cereal in front him. Kageyama pushes it away.
Keishin pushes it back to him, which he responds by pushing it away.
"Kageyama, you need breakfast. Eat," Tobio sat there stubbornly, staring at at him. "It's gonna get soggy if you don't eat it soon." Tobio crossed his arms.
"Well alright then," Ukai grabs the bowl from him and starts eating it. Kageyama makes a chirping sound, like the one from yesterday.
Keishin slows down his chewing, not actually believing that reverse psychology had worked on him.
"You want it?" He nods slowly, both hearing his stomach grumble lowly.
Ukai gives him the bowl still full with cereal (only a little soggy) and starts begrudgingly eating his breakfast.
"So I have to leave for work in like 8 minutes, are you coming with me or staying here?" He looks up at the coach, a bit of milk on the top of his lips.
He gets up and comes back with the whiteboard and pen. What about practice? "Practice?" Yeah, morning practice? "Oh yeah you slept in, it's past morning practice,"
How come you didn't wake me up? "Figured you needed the sleep," Ukai notices the tense look he had given him.
"I stayed home from practice so you wouldn't be alone or wake up alone," Kageyama seemed to relax a little at that, although felt a little bad that he was the reason why coach didn't go to morning practice.
Finishing the last of his cereal, he drinks the milk, rinses it then puts it on the sink.
Keishin is still there, waiting for him. "You still haven't answered my question, you coming or staying?" Can I come?
"Yeah sure. We gotta go in like five minutes, so you think you could get ready in that time?" He didn't even answer him. He went straight towards his bedroom, cautiously opening it.
Grabbing a pair of shorts and shirt, he quickly changed, along with a pair of socks.
He grabbed the two books from yesterday, his phone, practice clothes so they don't have to rush to get back home and any other thing he might want for the day.
He put them in a bag he found in his closet and walked back out and towards the door, tying his shoes.
Ukai locked the door behind them, whiteboard with pen in hand, handing them over to the kid, who looked more than relieved and grateful at that.
