Tobio was sitting in the same chair as yesterday, bag beside him on the floor as he continued to read a book about Norse mythology to pass the time.
He felt his coach glance at him every once in a while. He tried his best to ignore it, knowing what he's going to end up saying.
"Tetsu has probably already told you this, but you can talk-" Kegayama frowns at him. "You know what I mean," Maybe. "Yeah so anyway, you can come to us whenever you need it right?" Yes, Takeda told me the same thing last night. You both have. Many times now.
"Yeah I know, you just looked really scared last night is all," Scared? "You don't remember?" Kageyama shakes his head. No, what happened? "Don't worry about it then," What happened? He repeats.
"Are you sure you want to know?" YES. He taps the board several times for emphasis. "Shit ok then. You just woke us up around 2 am scared outta your mind is all. Something about a nightmare and not wanting to sleep in your room," he could tell that Tobio's prideful self is embarrassed and ashamed.
Kageyama used his arms as pillows so he could rest his head on the table.
Ukai looks at the door before getting off his seat, resting a hand on his back. "You know, that's exactly want we want you to do, right?"
Comforting people isn't his strong suit, but he knew that he couldn't let Tobio sit there and be embarrassed about something completely normal.
Kageyama shrugs. "You know we were actually glad that you came to us for help too, right? And I hope that one day you'll feel comfortable enough to talk about what had happened to you while you were gone," he leans down to give the teenager a would-be-hug, then going back to sit at the counter.
