Tobio knocks on the door as soon as he's dressed, more eager then yesterday.
"Well that was quick," Keishin comments. "Just let me change and then we'll go," Kageyama steps back out of the room and waits for him to come back out.
"So how'd you sleep last night? Forgot to ask," Keishin says as he's driving over to the gym. It was ok. "Didn't have any problems?" Not really. "That's good. So listen, I'm gonna drop you off right? As in right now," Kageyama looks at him, to show that he's paying attention.
"But since I have to go to work for several hours after morning practice, Ittetsu is going to be the one to drive you back home," and Hinata. "Yes, and Hinata," yeah that's fine. "Ok, cool, just wanted to make sure you knew us all."
Once at the gym, coach Ukai parked the car and the two hopped out, Tobio just now putting the arm guard on.
Nearing the gym, Kageyama became a little more anxious.
"Let's just start easy, yeah? Just ten simple catches up in the air first," Keishin throws a volleyball over at him. He catches it, eagerness less noticeable.
Kageyama bounces it. Once. Twice. Three times, stalling slightly. He put his hands up above his head, throws lightly, and catches it. Nerves easing.
Ukai, had been counting silently and saw that he had finished. "Ten more!" He yells.
Keishin yells "10 more' after that too, wanting to get Tobio in a more relaxed state, to make him less anxious, which he had thankfully became.
Ukai had given him a quick break before they started, ball in hand.
"You ready?" Kageyama gives a thumbs up, both in position. "Just breathe, remember?" He took a deep breath in, held, then let out.
Keishin served, unlike yesterday, he had gotten it on the first try.
So he served again. Kageyama manages to toss it back. The two go at this until there's no balls left in the basket, that's when coach gives him a break.
"So what do you think? You want to go again?"
