The Satan Pit Part: 2

A clatter down the tunnel startles the five. Jefferson moves into a defensive position, pointing his gun down the corridor.

"What was that?" Danny asks panicked.

"Mr Jefferson, what was that?" Rose asks.

"What was that noise?" Toby asks in concern.

"Captain. What was that?" Jefferson asks.

"The junction in Habitation Five's been opened. It must be the Ood." Zach explains. "They're in the tunnels."

"Well open the gate!" Danny shouts.

"I've got to get the air in!" Zach states.

"Just open it, sir!" Danny shouts.

"Where are they?" {Y/N} asks. "Are they close?"

"I can't tell, I can't see them." Zach says. "The computer doesn't register Ood as proper lifeforms."

"Who's idea was that?!" {Y/N} asks in disbelief. "Are you seriously all idiots."

"Open, the gate!" Danny shouts when the clanking sound gets closer.

The section suddenly opens, allowing the five to continue crawling.

"Danny, turn left, immediate left!" Zach instructs.

As they crawl around the corner Jefferson shuffles backwards, making sure to keep his eyes on the tunnels behind them.

"The Ood, sir. Can't you trap them, cut off the air?" Jefferson asks.

"Not without cutting off yours." Zach explains. "Danny, turn right, go right...go faster, they're gonna catch up!"

"I'll maintain defensive position." Jefferson shouts.

"You can't stop!" Rose shouts.

"Miss Tyler, that's my job. You've got your task, now see to it!" Jefferson states as he takes a defensive position.

"You heard what he said, now shift!" Toby states, ushering Rose forward.

The sound of bullets can be heard as the four make their way towards the next section.

"8.2. Open 8.2." Danny shouts into his comm. "Zach, open 8.2!"

"I've got to aerate it." Zach says.

"Open it now!" Danny shouts.

"I'm trying!"

Danny slams against the intersection furiously. "Danny stop it that's not helping!" Rose says.

"Jefferson!" {Y/N} shouts. "You gotta move it!"

"Zach! Get it open!" Toby demands.

"Jefferson, I've got to open 8.2 by closing 8.1." Zach informs. "You've got to get past the junction! Now, move! That's an order! Now, move! I'm gonna lose oxygen, Jefferson, I can't stop the automatics!"

The next intersection opens. "That's it, come on, come on!" Danny shouts as he goes through the hatch.

{Y/N} quickly looks back down the tunnels before crawling after Danny.

"Danny, turn left. Head for 9.2, that's the last one." Zach instructs. "Jefferson, you've got to move faster! John! Move! Move!"

"Mr. Jefferson!" Rose shouts as the divider closes. "Come on!"

"Keep going!" Toby shouts.

"Regret to inform you, sir. I was a bit slow. Not so fast, these days." Jefferson says breathily.
