Darshana

Vesham Vesham Vesham Vesham.

Hridhay purposely delayed the meeting today. Though he agreed that he wouldn't tell my dad about my dinner with Veda, he has been trying to talk me out of it. And all those reasons were very lame and silly. I really don't know whether he still hates him or was he trying to tease me. But today evening, it was evident that he purposely delayed the meeting. We reached the Housing around 06:45 pm and I hurriedly took a quick shower before getting dressed for dinner.

On Tuesday night, I raided my entire wardrobe to find a nice dress to wear for tonight. When I couldn't find one, I ordered online. A Tri-shaded Blue Georgette Fancy Saree with Silver linings and Sequins Embroidered over a thin Black Border, a Black boat neck Blouse with Blue Sequins work and Matching accessories to go with it. I received the shipping yesterday, else I wouldn't have been able to find a perfect outfit in the short time available to meet my most favourite artist.

I finish draping my saree with a single pleat and check myself in the mirror. I take a left partition on my hair and curl the edges of my hair to make it look wavevary. There is only ten minutes left but I still haven't done my makeup. I take my phone and call Neminathan uncle. Tuesday night, Girish anna shared the pictures of that car that will be sent to pick me up and his father's contact number who is going to be the chauffeur.

"Hello papa, naan vazhila thaan ma iruken." He hurriedly answered immediately after attending the call. (I'm on the way, dear.)

"Haan uncle, naan inaiku konjam office la irunthu late ah vanthen. Neenga vanthu naan keezha vara late agiduchu na varala nu nenachika porenga athan call pannen." I take out the cosmetics and accessories to wear while I talk with him. (Okay uncle, but I reached home late from the office. If I'm late to get into the car after you arrive, don't think I'm not coming. I called to inform you of this.)

"Okay ma, no problem." We end the call and I apply my makeup.

I try to keep my makeup as minimal as possible and start to wear the accessories. The doorbell rings when I'm wearing my right earring and I walk out of the closet to check the door with the left earring in my hand.

Hridhay is standing there in the same dress as he wore for office today minus his suit. His hair slightly dishevelled, sleeves have been rolled up to his elbows and the top two buttons of his shirt left open revealing a patch of hair. "Enna ippadi dress pani iruka?" His eyes scan me down. (Why are you dressed up like this?)

"En nalla thaan ready agi iruken." I look at myself and take a step back, letting him in. (Is there anything wrong?)

"No. I mean you look gorgeous but you never dressed up for the dinners with me." He enters my house and closes the door behind him.

"Those were all business dinners, Hridhay. I have to dress professionally." I tuck my hair behind my left ear and wear the earring. "Why are you here?" I turn around and walk towards my closet.
