_______ Matsuo______
The way our lips demanded each other, it is enthralling to have Alice pulling on my shirt. I only meant to stage the kiss when Serena arrived yet I got carried away. I almost wish Serena and Zhen didn't show up but I may have taken my kiss further with Alice. Our kiss affected me more than I like to say. After our lips regrettably parted I gazed at the side of Alice face. Her lips and cheeks were a dark shade is red from embarrassment. That only furthered my curiosity. I liked the way she wore her embarrassment, it was cute.
What am I thinking?
I mentally slap myself prying my eyes away from Alice and focused on my uninvited guest. As expected Serena is glaring at Alice.
"Nice to see you Toma." Serena ignores Alice while smiling at me as she walks in my direction.
I cringe when she calls me by my name and wrap my arm around Alice's waist to stop Serena's advance. Serena frowned as she stared at my hand resting on Alice's hip.
"I'd say the same Ms.Santora but you caught me at a bad time." I grin as I look at Alice's tense expression from the corner of my eye.
I wasn't the only one grinning, behind Serena was Zhen smiling like a fool. His smirk quickly disappears when he meets my heated glare.
"So what is the purpose of this unannounced visit?" I asked blandly.
"I booked a room here, I'll be staying for a night until this weekend." Serena stepped closer to me with her arms folded across her fake chest. "Of course I told my father I wanted to spend time with you since its been a long time since we last saw each other, and since you can't make it to the yatch this weekend I decidedto come to you."
"We saw each other recently hasn't been that long." I was in no mood for whatever game Serena is playing.
Alice stepped away from me breaking the silence and catching everyone's attention doing so.
"I uh-going to go take a shower." Alice began to walk away but I quickly grab her by the forearm before she walks to her room.
"I'll see you up stairs in a moment." I kiss her cheek shoving her towards the stairs.
Alice was confused at first creasing her brows but caught on to what I was saying. Serena was watching and if Alice walked into a guest room would raise questions.
Awkwardly, Alice walked up the stairs quickly disappearing in to the hall. When I heard the sound of my bedroom door close I turn back to Serena who was standing closer to me than before. I back away ignoring her shamless wondering eyes.
"Toma," Serena attempted to sound seductive. "Why don't you join me in my suite for dinner tonight." She smiled while trying to wrap her arms around my neck.
"Don't touch me." I warn Serena right before she links her arms around my neck.
Still smiling she steps away from her failed attempt to touch me. I wave Zhen over towards us.
"Zhen will take you to your room and if you need anything, ask him. I'm busy tonight so you will dine alone."
"Come on Toma just one dinner, I don't bite." Serena bites her lip which only resulted in disgusting me.
I fight a glare when Serena says my name again. "I don't think so," I turn away waking towards the stairs brushing Serena off.
Without another word I walk to my room. Alice was standing by the window in the back of bedroom with her back to me. The lights were shut off and the curtains on the other windows were drawn shut covering the room in darkness. Alice stood in the sunlight watching the sun as it begins to set behind the city. I stood in the doorway watching her gaze at the view of the city. Slowly, I walk closer not to distract her without once taking my eyes off of Alice.
Many days and nights I stood in that very spot observing the city lost in thought. It's the only place I allowed my mind to wander freely. When I'm not here I'm thinking of the many responsibilities and work I must do but, not here.
I finally made my way across the room unnoticed standing behind Alice. I take a deep breath which alerts her to my presence.
"Don't," I place my hand in her shoulder so she wouldn't turn. "Just stay still."
For once Alice didn't question me, she just stood there. It was visible to see she tensed up probably from our close proximity. The redness of her cheeks confirms her reason for discomfort.
"Don't freight too much about the kiss." Alice turns her head but not enough to meet my eyes as I spoke. "It was a ploy for when Serena arrived."
For a second I seemed as though she is disappointed, but I quickly dismiss the idea when she turned away to face the window.
"A heads up would have been nice." To my confusion Alice spoke through gritted teeth.
"But what I said before do not ignore, you've seem to have forgotten your place." This time I turn Alice around holding her shoulders. At first I was lost for words to see the scared look in her eyes. I almost forget the purpose of this talk, even if she is startled I have to end this closeness we've developed. "Your life depends heavily on the way you act as my mistress and around me. We have an arrangement, nothing more."
Alice stared me almost as if she was angry. My words must've struck a nerve but none the less they were true, I am also to blame allowing her to behave this way. I release her shoulders and she seems to relax for a moment.
"So, why did Serena stop by?" She asked.
I roll my eyes, "she invited me to dinner."
Alice raised her brows, "are you going?"
I chuckled while flipping on the lights to look at Alice. Her hands are placed on her hips and waited for me to speak.
"I rejected her." I begin to unbutton my shirt to grab my workout clothes.
Alice stepped up to me, "why would you say no! Didn't that guy confess that he works for the Italians, hello!"
She motioned with her hands wildly and I freeze from her reaction. I drop my hands from my shirt groaning at the point she made. The captive did confess what mafia he worked for, I just don't know family he is under.
"You're right," I start to walk to my closet. "I'll go."
Alice followed me until I took off my shirt and spun around to avert her eyes.
"Okay, well I'll go to my-
"You're coming with me." I pull put another shirt pulling it on.
Alice whipped around with her mouth hanging open, "what!"
