______Alice POV_____
"You guys sure you have enough people?" Kenny looked at me as Blaked wired him up.
We were in an apartment the team was using to bust Muyang. Only Blake and I were in the apartment with Kenny, while the rest of the officers remained in a van and a car downstairs.
"Yes, now be still." Blake made the final adjustments on the camera concealed by Kenny's shirt. "How we're looking?"
I peered at Kenny and thought a few things were off. He has been clean ever since his compliance weeks ago. That's what he says anyway, but he didn't look like a normal junkie. The appearance had changed since our last meeting, but the residual effect of drug use lingered.
"Rub your eyes to make them red, and kinda mess up your hair a little bit." I recommended.
"Alright guys, how's the feed?" Blake called the team through the radio.
"We're clear. Have a clean visual of your tight shirt from the baby gap detective Blake." Fellow detective Brown responded.
I had to smother the laughter that was going to bubble out. Kenny, on the other hand, laughed in Blake's face. He crossed his arms, making his shirt appear tighter on his muscles.
"I'm so glad we get to work together, Kenny." The sarcasm was thick.
"Alright, easy on the guy. You had it coming." I placed a hand on Blake's shoulder as I walked towards the door. "We need to make ourselves scarce when Kenny makes a call for delivery."
Kenny looked nervous, rubbing his eyes vigorously, and ruffled his hair until he looked strung out.
"It's gonna be alright. We'll be right outside. Just make sure we get a clear visual of Muyang selling you the drugs." Blake reassured his CI.
"Okay, okay, okay. I got this." Kenny paced back and forth.
Blake and I walk down the flight of stairs until we reach the bottom and exited to the street. We weren't in the nicest part of the city. It's one of the areas nearest to Han's drug territory that is very close nit. Normally, when the residents see the police, they let everyone know we are in the area. So, we have to be very vigilant and on guard.
We reached the van on the other side of the street, and detective Brown slid open the door with a smug smile on his aging face.
Blake is still bitter about the baby gap comment by the frown I spot on his face. He climbed in, ignoring the looks, and I followed, sliding the door close.
I checked the monitors as I strapped into my police vest and secured my weapon. Detective Brown and Officer Lee were already suited up for the deal to go down.
On the other side of the street, another car filled with officers waited with us. All we need to do was signal Kenny to make the call.
"Go ahead and make the call, Kenny." Blake talked to his CI through an earpiece.
We watched through the camera feed as he dialed a number on his flip phone. The camera went back and forth as he paced as the phone rang.
"Hey, it's-it's Ken. I need to place an order." Kenny said, not so subtly.
We can't hear what's being said on the other end of the phone call. As long as Kenny keeps his cool, this will end smoothly, well as smoothly as possible.
"I just need enough to hold me over the weekend," he continued on the phone. "Yeah, yeah, man. I'll text you my address, I need my regular delivery asap."
