Tom's pov.

"Y/N, wake the fuck up!" I groaned, the banging on the door grew louder and louder.
"I know you're in there Y/N, and if you don't want me to kick down the door, you'll open it now!" I recognised the angry voice immediately. Harrison. And even though I briefly wondered why he was knocking on my bedroom door, I quickly noticed the weight between my arms. He wasn't knocking on my door, I was just still in Y/N's bed. I tried to sit upright but Y/N's body was fully spread out on my arm. She just slept on while the panic in my blood flowed through my veins. Harrison would kill me if he found me here. In bed! With his little sister! And it's not even what it was! Pathetic.
"Y/N!" I whispered in panic, the banging on the door continued. Knowing Harrison, I was also sure he would actually kick the door in at any moment. "Darling, please wake up." She nuzzled her head into my arm on which she lay, totally ignoring me. I was desperate, not knowing how to get out of here without Harrison seeing me.
Oh dear lord have mercy...

I yanked my arm out from under her head in one swift movement and- she continued to sleep. Thank God, or shouldn't I be relieved because it meant she was still asleep while Harrison was standing outside the door? almost loosing his temper!

Once I was standing, I quickly slipped into my slippers. God these thingys look horrible, but are honestly really comfortable to wear in a hotel.
"We should have been at the breakfast meeting 10 minutes ago, and you're making me late now." He said, and his voice suddenly became less aggressive. It seemed he had given up on waking Y/N, but damn it. THE BREAKFAST MEETING! Roney was supposed to show up, and I had forgotten all about it, so how was I going to get ready and get there before everyone had finished? Oh No...

I mentally cried, and maybe I would have really started to whine out of desperation, but lucky for me, that was when Y/N woke up.

She tiredly sat up, looked around her room, and immediately spotted me standing in front of the bed. Frozen, not daring to move in case Harrison could hear me.
"Tom what-" I quickly pressed my index finger to my pursed lips, motioning for her to shut up and especially not to mention my name now that Harrison was in ear sight.

"Y/N?" Harrison asked, being sure to have heard her voice. I was fucked! "Y/N are you up?" I waved my hands in the air for her to finally say something, but she was completely confused as she tried to figure out why I was fidgeting so strangely.
"Yeah- yes, I'm up." Her voice was still a little scratchy from sleep, she noticed it herself as she grabbed her throat and quietly cleared it.
"Thank Jesus. Breakfast started 15 minutes ago, so hurry before they notice you're missing." All three of us were quiet. Y/N didn't know what to say because what her brother had just said was the only thing she could do. Hurry up and get to breakfast. Harrison waited a few more seconds for an answer, but when he knew he wouldn't get one anymore, I heard his footsteps disappear from the door and relief was the only thing washing over me.
"What time is it?!" She asked. Both of us were in a hurry, stressed to make it at least somewhat on time.
"How the hell am I suppose to know?!" I exclaimed, uncomfortably standing in front of her in my own sleeping clothes. "I left it in my room last nigh-" I began to realise what had happened. That's why my alarm clock didn't ring at 8 this morning in the first place, so I could be at breakfast at 9. And when Harrison said we were already 15 minutes late, we certainly had- "around 9:20 am." I said and we stared at each other in panic. Silence filled the air because no one dared to speak. Not about what has happened last night, what has happened afterwards, and what was happening right now.
"Go on, you moron. I have to get ready." She threw a pillow at me and I practically ran out of the room to go get ready myself. I couldn't show up in my pyjamas, so I quickly put on a suit, my bow loosely around my neck while brushing my teeth and trying to flatten my hair with the brush. It stood out like the hair of an electrically charged rabbit. Y/N would have liked it for sure...
I used so much perfume, there was no way I was still giving off a whiff of my stink. I then secretly walked up and down Y/N's corridor 3 more times, hoping that she would come out one of the times and we could go to breakfast together. But after the third time of going back, I gave up, thinking that she was already at breakfast when just then her door swung open and she came out. Her head bowed, trying to put on the second earring. In her other hand the shoes she still had to put on. I quickly hopped behind a wall, feeling creepy after all. What if she put two and two together and found out, I had been waiting for her? I didn't want to seem too put on and pushy, but damn it, I wanted to spend more time with her and knowing that we were going to go back to strangers at the breakfast table just to give each other awkward side looks, was not what I wanted. I wanted her!

When I was sure the air was clear I came out of my hiding spot.
I made my way down the corridor and took the stairs down to the dining hall. There was only one corner left to go around and just as I was about to hit it, I slammed into a body, or rather, Y/N. Her heels were now on her feet and her hair was somehow more voluminous, as if she had tousled through it to get that look. But it weirdly fit her.
"Hi!" we both said at the same time and I was still holding onto her elbow so she wouldn't fall.
"You alright?" I pointed out to her head which had banged against my chest, but really I was just wondering why she was coming in my direction, which could only mean she either was leaving the hall when she should have just entered it, or she was waiting for me like I was waiting for her. I secretly hoped it was because of the second reason.
"Yeah, no I'm good. My head is... well." She stuttered a little on her words before giving me a crooked smile. "You smell good." She added and I almost blushed.
"Thanks. And you- look good." Damn it Thomas. you look good? how embarrassing!

We ended up entering the room together, and even though hardly anyone noticed, I still felt Harrison's eyes on me and... my hand on Y/N's back. He would kill me sooner or later anyway, I no longer had any doubt about that.

I placed us inconspicuously far away from him, knowing that I would not be able to bear his gaze for longer than 5 minutes before I too would lose my patience. Of course, he had every right to be angry with me, but that didn't mean I had to let on that he had power over me.

Y/N was noticeably quiet during breakfast, and I didn't know if it was because she knew her brother was watching us and she would surely have to listen to another lecture later, if it was because she was surrounded by 30 misogynists, or if she was actually relaxed. She wasn't smiling, nor did she seem sad about anything. I tried to take her hand under the table once, trying to figure out how she felt, but it went wrong when she slapped my hand away again and threw her brother a smile. Yeah, It could only be because of Harrison.

I tried looking up in his direction afterwards too, but he was no longer there. Jenna, however still was. Talked to the wife of Aaron with a genuine smile plastered on her lips.
I barely managed to catch Harrison disappear down the hall, probably on his way to the restroom since his phone was still on the table in front of Jenna.
"Hey, can you excuse me for a second?" I stood up and put my napkin on the table before following Harrison's footsteps. Didn't even wait for Y/N's reply.

And maybe what I was about to do would end badly. But with a bit of luck, one of my plans would finally be working.
