I hate it when people talk about you, but even worse, when theyre literally three meters away and they talk loud!

I opened my eyes to see that Ed was still by my side. Somehow he managed to keep himself un-noticed, which to my surprise worked. He hadn't noticed me wake up so I lay there staring at him type furiously on his phone.

I stared intently at him for another three or so minutes before speaking up.

" hey, um why are you still here?" I said, startling him out of his daydream.

"Oh um, hi, I uh was looking after you" he stuttered, looking slightly embarrassed.

"you didn't need to I..."

"i wanted to" he cut me off, placing a calloused hand on top of mine.

" okay" I whispered.

We sat in an awkward silence fro a while before I saw Sandy. I called her over and asked if she'd seen Sam anywhere yet. she replied with an honest no and decided to go and get the man with the megaphone to do a call-out.

heard a booming voice flow from the megaphone, and I knew this was them asking if they'd seen Sam Grey anywhere.

"ATTENTION ALL, IF ANYONE HAS SEEN OR IF WE HAVE A SAM GREY PRESENT CAN YOU COME TO THE AMBULANCE ON SIGHT THANKYOU" the voice filled the air and I awaited a response, I was hoping my big brother would come forward and hold me, tell me everything was okay. Ed was still with me, he'd decided he wouldn't leave until someone I knew came and took me. Finding any of my family members was going to be hard. My mother was now dead, my grandparents both died when I was two years old, I never knew my father and Sam was nowhere to be seen. Not to mention, mum was an only child so I have no relatives.

"hey Ed?" I asked as he was humming the tune of " little bird" to himself quietly.

"oh uh yeah?" he replied, he sounded kind of tired.

" will you sing me a song? yah know, if you want" I whispered nervously, I mean, my idol hadn't left my side all day, even when the ground shook and he was knocked off his feet.

"um, sure, what one?"

" I don't mind" I said quietly as my eyes began to feel heavy again. I yawned loudly, making Ed chuckle to himself.
