"There's no blood coming out of her." My nephew came up to me, grabbing my arm and holding it out so the other two could see.
Bruce mumbled something under his breath, coming back up to get a better look at my arm that, though it had puncture marks, had no blood coming out of it. "That, that shouldn't be happening."
"So what is happening?" Natasha asked, eyebrows furrowed as she looked between me and the doctor.
Bruce looked deep in thought for a moment, before his eyes seemed to light up in realization.
"Olivia, what color did you say that vial was?" He asked me.
"Purple, I think. Why?"
Tony's eyes seemed to widen as well, realizing where Bruce was going with this. He quickly walked over to a tray table nearby that held some equipment, grabbed one of the small scalpels and walked back over."Cause red and blue mix to purple," Tony said as he quickly grabbed my hand and before I could even protest, slice into the palm of my hand.
I yelled out in pain as pulled my hand away from my nephew, holding it to my chest.
"What the hell was that?!" Natasha yelled at him.
"Oh, calm down she's fine. Look at her hand." He lifted the scalpel to point in my direction.
Hesitantly, I brought my hand away from my chest, slowly opening my palm to reveal... nothing... My hand, though there was a bit of a gash from where the cut was, had no blood on it. Not even a drop.
"How..." I shook my head in disbelief, my eyes not leaving my palm.
"Well, we can't be sure until we do some more tests, but there may be a chance you can control blood." Bruce unsurely said, glancing at Tony.
"Yeah, if someone's blood was in that one vial, then it might have combined into your system during the experiment.
"That's... that's crazy..." I mumbled.
"Oliv, a serum made you taller and more muscular. Don't you think it's at least a bit possible a contaminated one gave you actual abilities?" Natasha gently asked me.
"I- I don't know. It just... sound's so ridiculous." I gave a dry laugh, my smile not reaching my eyes. "I mean, I went in just expecting to become a super soldier, but come out not only as that but as a- as a what? A superhuman? Like in a comic book? That's crazy."
"Well, I can turn into a green rage monster when angry because of my own failed super soldier serum. I don't think it's that crazy to think about," Bruce said, pushing his glasses up on his face.
My shoulders deflated and I let out a sigh, my head dropping a bit.
"So, what now? What do I do?"
"Well, seeing as we can't get any blood out of you, we will probably have to do some more experiments on how to work your powers. I'm sorry to say, but I don't think there's anything we can do to get rid of this." Bruce gave me a sorry look.
"It's okay, I guess. I understand." I nodded my head, clearing my throat. "Um, I think I want to take a pause, on all of this. I'm just going to... go up to my room." I awkwardly got off the table I was on, quickly leaving the room.
When I got to my floor, I bumped into Steve, who gave me a look that meant he knew something was wrong.
"What is it?" He asked, stopping me from walking away.
"Why do you think somethings wrong?" I asked, not meeting his eyes.
"Because your eyes are a little red, your arms are crossed over your chest, and you're not looking at me." He raised his eyebrow in a knowing manner as I uncrossed my arms.
