"What's going to happen to your friends?" Bucky asked, sitting behind me as I sat in the pilot's seat, Steve anxiously moving around behind us.
I heard Steve sigh, glancing back to see him shaking his head. "Whatever it is, we'll deal with it."
"Yeah, I've already got the plans for the Raft. It should be easy to break them out if needed, though that's only for the worst-case scenario." I shrugged.
"The Raft?" Bucky asked.
"Don't worry about it, Bucky. Olivia's just being a pessimist." Steve grumbled.
"Stephanie, we both know where they are right now, we've read the Accords." I rolled my eyes.
"I don't know if I'm worth all this, guys," Jamie mumbled, Steve and I going silent for a moment.
"What you did all those years ago... It wasn't you. You didn't have a choice." Steve told him.
"I know. But I did it."
"Jamie, I swear to god, if you don't stop saying that shit I'm going to come back there and punch you," I grumbled, and I could feel Steve's eyes burning holes into my back.
"Olivia."
"No, Steve." I quickly put the jet back on autopilot, standing from my seat and turning to face the two men. "Jamie, Hydra scrambled your brain. They turned it into mush and created their own little puppet to do their bidding. You were the mush, not the puppet. It may have been your body pulling the trigger, but you yourself had no part of it."
Bucky and Steve stayed silent, Steve looking at Bucky while Bucky stared at his lap.
"How long was the Winter Soldier around?" I asked both boys, a confused look coming over their faces.
"What's the point of this?" Steve asked, clearing his throat at the glare I gave him. "Um, I think Nat said 50 years?"
"Exactly! 50 years! Bucky we've been gone from the '40s for at least 70!"
"Olivia, where are you going with this?" Bucky asked, a sad look in his eyes.
"I'm saying that you, Sargent James Buchanan Barnes of the 107th, Captain America's best friend, fought against Hydra for around 20 years. That is absolutely incredible, Jamie. You survived for 20 years, fighting them as much as you could.
"I refuse to believe that someone who is able to do that is able to turn around and hurt people."

"Weapons are over there, Jamie." I nodded towards one of the hidden hatches in the jet.
We had just landed at the abandoned Hydra base, and all of us were getting ready for whatever we were about to face. I watched as Bucky hesitantly looked towards the hatch, opening it and grabbing one of the machine guns. Steve opened the hatch for us, glancing at Bucky as we waited for it to fully open.
"You remember that time we had to ride back from Rockaway Beach in the back of that freezer truck?"
"Was that the time we used our train money to buy hot dogs?" Bucky asked back, making me smile.
"You blew three bucks trying to win that stuffed bear for a redhead," Steve smirked.
"What was her name again?"
"Dolores. You called her Dot."
"She's gotta be a hundred years old right now." Bucky shook his head.
"So are we, boys," I said, starting to walk down the ramp. "And by the way, if you wanna hot dog, all you've gotta do is ask. I am a Stark, after all!"
