"Ladies and gentlemen, we're here," I said as we pulled up to the gate.

"This is it."

"The file came from these coordinates."

"So did we," Steve said, both of us looking at the Camp Lehigh sign.

The sun quickly went down as we walked through the camp, memories of my time here flooding my mind. From Howard and I taking advantage of nice weather and working together outside, to me and my men stumbling half-drunk through camp after going to the pub, to hanging out with Peggy and Liv and having girls' days when we needed a break from the suffocating masculinity. I was even remembering all the times me and Phillips would go at each other, him arguing about my professionalism and my ability to work efficiently with Howard while also saying I was one of the best mechanics he's ever met.

We always had an interesting relationship.

"This camp was where I was trained," Steve told Nat as she held her phone up, trying to get a signal.

"Change much?"

"Not really, no." I shook my head.

"You okay?" I asked Steve, noticing how he was staring at the flagpole a few feet away.

"Yeah, yeah I'm good." He nodded.

"This is a dead end. Zero heat signatures, zero waves, not even radio. Whoever wrote the file must have used a router to throw people off. What is it?" I looked back at Natasha's question, seeing Steve staring out into the distance.

"Well shit," I mumbled as I saw what the blond was looking at, quickly walking towards it.

"Army regulations forbid storing munitions within 500 yards of the barracks. This building is in the wrong place." Steve filled in for Natasha.

"Steve, get the lock, please," I said, moving out of the way and watching as he used his shield to break the lock.

We slowly walked down the staircase, being met with a dark room. I walked over to the wall to the right, turning on the light switch. As the lights came on, I looked around the room, noting the abandoned desks scattered about, and a large SHIELD logo on the wall farthest from us.

"This is SHIELD."

"Maybe where it started," Steve said as we walked further into the room.

I gasped as we walked into another room, seeing a lineup of the founders of SHIELD.

"Howie," I whispered, my eyes getting watery as I stared at his photo, Phillips to his left and Peggy to his right, a photo of Liv placed to the right of Peggy.

"Who's the girl?" Natasha asked, looking at the woman on the left.

"Peggy Carter. Steve's first love." I answered when Steve walked away.

"If you're already working in a secret office," Steve ignored us, pausing as he reached in between the shelves, pulling at it and revealing a secret space. "Why do you need to hide the elevator?"

When we got to the elevator, we noticed a keypad beside it. Nat, having all sorts of wonderful spy tech, pulled out her phone and used it to easily find the code. She typed it in a second later, making the elevator doors open. We all stayed silent as we got in the elevator, my eyebrows furrowing in concern over the creaking sounds happening as we descended.

The three of us slowly stepped out of the elevator, all of us on guard as the lights stayed and took their sweet time to turn on. When they did, a very large and very old computer system sat in front of us, dust covering every surface.
