Lincoln had recently got into the habit of kicking Faye out to make room for the girl he always talked about. Faye first heard about her when he explained the story of the people from the sky.

Faye wanted to know more about them but Lincoln forbid her from going anywhere near them, he even took the liberty of showing her the border Anya and the other grounders had set up.

When Faye expected the girl to be gone she made her way back to Lincoln's cave. Just before she got there she noticed a boy with long hair sneaking around in the woods. When she got closer she saw he was almost right on top of Lincoln's cave.

Faye reached for her knife and held it against his throat as Lincoln finally noticed the boy and jumped in front of the small girl he was with.

"Finn?" The girl asked. "Lincoln, wait, wait!" But Lincoln already had his knife out even when Faye had hers pressed to his skin. "He's my friend."

Faye didn't pull away but the boy handed something to Lincoln that made him relax only slightly.

"I think you lost this." The boy said.

Lincoln finally let them all in with many objections from Faye.

"So what are you doing here?" Octavia, the girl Lincoln talked about, asked.

"I could ask you the same thing." Finn said. "I could also ask how long you've known he speaks English...but I won't." The boy looked down and noticed something piled among Lincoln's things. "You blew this when your people were hunting us. You saved our lives. I have to believe there's more like you. And some like her." He hesitantly looked at Faye who still held her knife.

"Lincoln's a special case." Faye said dryly and looked at her friend. "You're lucky it's him and not someone else." She said what they all already knew.

"I stabbed you." Lincoln said.

"And we tortured you."

"Wait. What?" Faye looked at Lincoln.

"If the two of us can get along then, maybe there's hope." Finn said. "Learn from history instead of repeating it, right?"

"How's that gonna happen?" Octavia asked.

"For starters...no more killing."

Faye couldn't stop the scoff that escaped her. She knew it was an insane idea from the boy but Lincoln considered it.

Lincoln looked between her and the boy. "I don't have the power to call a truce."

"Then bring me to someone who does." This time it was Lincoln who scoffed. "Hey, look. The rest of our people are coming down here. The first ship lands in two days."

"It's true." Octavia agreed.

"And because of the attacks...they're sending mostly soldiers the people that enforce our laws. The Ark is about survival at any cost and they'll kill people who fall out of line. When those people get down here, if they feel threatened they will start a war...and I don't want that. Neither do you and I think that's why you blew that horn. Once the soldiers get here, it will be too late and we'll have no power to stop them but if they see that we're at peace...then maybe we have a chance to stay that way."

It was silent while Faye and Lincoln thought about the boy's words. Faye wanted the boy to be right, but she knew Anya would never let that happen. From knowing her old mentor and hearing about the sky people, she knew peace was unreachable.

"Alright." Lincoln said.

They all looked to Faye, standing in the corner with her arms crossed. "No." She shook her head. "This is a foolish idea, thought up by a foolish boy who thinks peace isn't so unrealistic."

"Faye..."

Lincoln and Faye stepped closer to the entrance of the cave and lowered their voices so the other two wouldn't hear them.

"If we can stop a war before it even starts..."

"But you won't. Anya would never agree to it, and you've already said that these sky people are unreasonable. I know you think that there's a chance for this, but we both know Anya would never listen to this."

"She would...if you came forward and-" Lincoln started to say.

"No." Faye said.

"Please, she trusts you."

"No, she thinks I'm dead."

"Please, Faye, just talk to her or at least, if I can get her to agree with it, can you just be there. To show the sky people that there's more of us who are willing to try for peace."

Faye stood and thought. She looked at the boy and the girl. So different from her and Lincoln, but Lincoln saw something in them.

"I'll go, but I won't be getting closer than I have to. Besides, I owe you for letting me stay here."

They walked back over to the sky people.

"You bring your leader, we'll bring ours."

"What...Bellamy?" Octavia asked. "He'll never go for this." She shook her head. It seemed Faye wasn't the only one doubt her leader.

"No. Not you brother." Lincoln and Finn seemed to have the same idea.

"Clarke."
