Clarke opened the door and they all walked in, interrupting the meeting.

"This is a private meeting." Miller rushed to get them out.

"It's fine." Octavia said.

"We all have people in that Valley that need our help." Clarke said, walking up to Octavia.

"If you're talking about your mother, I am not interested in rescuing traitors. I'm trying to prevent more of them." Octavia said.

"Your people are hungry and you're worrying about defectors?" Bellamy asked. "We should stop wasting time looking for enemies in Polis, and we should start trying to find a way back to that valley."

"Last time I checked, Diyoza can see our every move." Octavia said.

"That's where Monty comes in." Harper looked over at him.

Monty grabbed something from his pocket. "Laser-comm. It's dialed right into their mother ship. All I need is a relay tower on the ground that we built out of scrap and a computer. I should be able to blind the eye from right here."

"Good plan." Miller said. "Once it's down, we can attack."

"Fine. Miller set Monty up. Cooper, shoot anyone who tries to defect. We're done here. Time to train." Octavia walked out.

"That is not my sister." Bellamy said as him and Faye walked out. "Faye?"

"If Octavia's so worried about her people, she has a funny way of showing it." Faye shook her head.

"We'll figure it out." Bellamy pulled her close and rubbed her back.

Someone cleared their throat and the two pulled away.

"I need Faye." Clarke said. "We have to go." She gestured with her eyes towards Madi and Gaia, who were walking together.

"I'm sorry." Faye said to Bellamy as her and Clarke left.

"Madi." Clarke said.

"Hey. Gaia was telling me about Wonkru combat tactics." Madi looked up at Gaia with admiration.

"According to Madi, she's encountered our enemy. Perhaps she could train with our novitiates and tell them about it." Gaia said.

"Thank you, but Madi's not Wonkru. She's Shallow Valley." Clarke said.

"So that's how you survived. Is it true that Praimfaya missed the entire valley?" Gaia asked.

"Yes, but that's not how I survived. Clarke used Faye's bone marrow to make me a Nightblood. I owe them both my life." Madi explained.

"Gaia, would you excuse us..."

"Hey." Faye said, walking into a room where she found Bellamy and Monty. Bellamy stopped and looked, at her taking her hand.

"Hey." Bellamy said back to her.

"Finally. You got him to stop pacing." Monty said. His eyes were glued to the screen but his voice was very demanding.

"Can you do it or not?" Bellamy asked Monty.

"I have access to the mother ship from the laser-comm, but everything's encrypted, so no. When we were up there, I could have opened a backdoor from the inside, but we didn't even know they had a damn camera!" Monty banged his hand against the table.

"Hey, hey, Monty." Bellamy walked over to him. "Take it easy."

"Look, why are we even doing this? So your sister can go to war? What happened to us being the good guys?" Monty asked.

"We are." Bellamy said.

"Really?" Monty asked. "Letting her kill people for defecting. Correction-thinking about defecting."

"Raven's a prisoner. Murphy has a shock collar around his neck and is alone in the woods with Emori. This...This is how we get back to them. Come on, just try again." Bellamy said.

"I'm telling you, I can't do it from here."

The door opened and Echo walked in.

"Hey. What's wrong?" Faye asked her.

"What, no takers?" Bellamy asked.

"Oh, no. There were takers. I'm just not turning them in." Echo said.

"Turning them in?" Faye asked.

"Octavia wanted me to find defectors. But some bad things went on down here, Faye. No one will talk about it, not even the ones that want to defect. I can see it in their faces. I'm sorry. I know this means I'll be banished, but I can't do it."

"Then we go with them." Faye suggested.

"Faye." Monty said.

"I don't know much about your computer. But you said you can't do it from here, but if we had inside help?" Faye asked.

Monty shuffled around. "I could put the backdoor code in a thumb drive." Monty nodded.

"Faye, Octavia's not joking when she said defectors will be shot." Echo said.

"No plan is perfect."

Faye went into the tent that Clarke and Madi were in.

"We're leaving." Clarke and Faye said in unison.
