Lincoln rode to the clearing with the boy. The moment Faye heard the hooves she started a small fire, just barely getting a big enough spark to light the fire.

She threw the torch onto the pile of wood when Lincoln took off towards Anya's camp.

Faye heard Lincoln coming through the woods again.

"I don't understand." Clarke said with gasps between words.

"Lincoln and Faye. They saved me. They killed one of their own people to do it.

Faye walked up to Lincoln's horse. Thanks to a genetic mutation caused by the radiation, he had two heads and Faye was more than happy to feed them both. It had been so long since she was near one, she almost forgot how skittish they could be.

"Signal fire?" Clarke asked. "That was you?"

"We needed a distraction."

"I'd say it worked." Finn said.

"Not well enough." Lincoln corrected. He looked at Faye to remind her who's plan it was.

"What's it mean?" Finn asked about the fire.

"It means Anya knows Clarke is not dead. We need to hurry."

Faye stepped away from the horse.

"Yah!" Lincoln sent the horse into the woods with no rider and no set destination. "Let's hope they follow the horse."

"Hey, what do we do now?" Finn asked.

"Now we run." Lincoln and Faye were already heading away from the two before they decided following was their best option.

"That means move!" Faye yelled at them when she saw them still standing and waiting. Looking at Faye as if she were the one standing around and wasting time, they soon followed.

They ran deep into the woods and Faye stopped so suddenly she almost fell forward.

"Faye, we have to go." Lincoln told her. "I promise, we won't go near them." Lincoln assured her, but Faye was still hesitant to keep going forward.

"Where are we going?" Clarke asked as they picked up their pace again.

"Someplace they won't follow."

"Oh, wait. Where does it lead?" Clarke asked, not wanting to go into the dark tunnels.

"Everywhere. There's a tunnel to your camp. If we make it through, we should get there before Tristan." Lincoln explained quickly.

"Lincoln, we wouldn't even know where we'd be going." Faye told him.

"Can you just trust me?" He demanded.

The hoof beats were close to them now. They could see the light of torches through the wall of trees.

"Go. Go!"

They all ran into the dark tunnels that seemed endless.

In the darkness Faye couldn't see anything. The only sound was their labored breathing and Lincoln clicking rocks together to make a spark. Small flashes illuminated the tunnels for quick seconds and then went out.

Only when one caught were they able to see.

"You were right. They didn't follow us." Finn stood and checked behind them just in case he spoke too soon.

"Reapers use these tunnels. Tristan won't risk running into them."

"What the hell is a Reaper?" Finn asked.

"Pray you never find out." Lincoln looked around the cave to make sure they were truly alone and stood up, everything Faye had already done. Her mind now going back to her last time in the old mines. "We have to keep moving." Lincoln let out a groan of pain.
