Jackson removed the Flame. The wires did not retract in. The Flame was destroyed.

With tears in her eyes, Gaia took the Flame.

Fay's finally woke. "I'll close." Jackson said.

Clarke only nodded, but her eyes never left Faye. "I'm here. You're okay." Clarke assured her, stroking her hair.

"I'm not the Commander anymore." Faye said with her eyes closed. Everything she wasted her life for, was over. The Conclave, the City of Light, killing Luna was all wasted because she was too weak to fight off a demon.

Clarke and Faye led everyone back down to Sanctum.

Faye found Bellamy and ran towards him. "You're okay?" She asked, holding onto him.

"Me? Are you?" Bellamy looked at her. "Sheidheda?"

"The Flame was destroyed." Faye said with a tone of bitterness.

"Bellamy, we have to go." Echo said. Her and Rich were waiting with an unfamiliar man.

"Go? Where are you going?" Faye asked.

"Gabriel thinks he found something. We're going to his camp to check it out." Bellamy told her.

"Okay. I'll go with you." Faye suggested.

"The Flame may have been destroyed, but you're people still need you." Bellamy said, reassuring her. "You'll be safer here. We'll find out what this is a be back. I promise."

Faye didn't want him to go. She didn't want to stay. But he was right. Wonkru was awake, they would need someone to lead them.

"Hurry back."

Clarke and Faye left the farmhouse, Picasso trailing behind.

"You said I could start school today. Why are we here?" Madi asked.

"I thought maybe you'd like to see our new home. Russell built it for Simone so she'd have a place that reminded her of the farm she grew up on, back on Earth, before the bombs. Picasso comes with it." Clarke explained.

"We can keep her? Thank you." Madi jumped up and hugged Faye and Clarke.

"Let's go inside." Faye suggested. Her and Madi led Picasso up the steps and inside the house.

"I don't know what I like less— lying about the Flame or making Faye pretend she's still Commander." Gaia said, walking with Clarke.

"Indra thinks it could split Wonkru. You don't agree?" Clarke asked.

"I do, and I know we need them unified to keep the peace here. Just...I worry about Faye."

"Yeah." Clarke agreed. "For now, we keep it quiet. But now, without the Flame, Madi gets to be a kid, not worrying about training. Come on. There are plenty of rooms for all of us."

Faye led Madi inside, showing her to the island where she found a seat. Faye walked further into the kitchen and grabbed a biscuit while Raven filled two bowls.

"Heda, if you don't mind, you're needed elsewhere." Indra said.

"Where?" Clarke asked.

"We've been here a day, and Wonkru hasn't seen her." Indra informed.

"Mother, don't be so dramatic." Gaia said. "Madi, go eat your lunch. It's okay."

They all waited for Madi and Faye to leave before continuing the conversation.

"She seems fine." Raven said.

"She is." Indra said.

"She will be. There has never been an ex-Commander. We don't know how having the Flame removed will affect her. Not to mention being taken over by—" Gaia said.

"Sheidheda's gone." Indra spoke up.

"Are we sure about that?" Raven questioned. "He's gone. I didn't mean—I—I would just feel better if I knew where that code ended up, that's all." She said.

"Okay. Then on your next supply run to the mothership, you can search the computer again. Meantime, we have to establish a routine. Not just for Madi and Faye but for all of us. Sanctum is broken, and it's our job to put it back together. If we focus on that, we'll be okay. Now let's eat so we can get back to work."

They all gave quick smiles.

"One of us needs to represent the Commander. And I'm hungry." Indra said, holding her hand out for a bowl.

Angry, Gaia set the bowl in her hand and stormed out of the house as Indra walked towards the backyard.

"Mothers and daughters." Raven let out a small laugh. "I'm sorry." She said when she realized.

"It's okay, Raven. I'm fine."

They all finished their lunches and made their way towards the palace. Indra informed all of them how hard it would be and Raven estimated how long it would take them to build their own compound.

"Heda." A man knelt before Faye. Faye nodded to him.

"Madi..." Faye looked at Madi and gestured her forward. "Gone on. School's starting." She smiled and watched Madi run to join the others.

"Bodyguards?" Miller asked.

"Yes. But not so close and make sure they leave her alone." Faye said.

"Copy that." Miller nodded to a few guards.

"Too many people." Indra looked around.

"Good thing Alie's not around." Raven said.

"There you are. Thank God." James ran up to Raven.

"James what is it? The reactor again?" Raven asked.

"No. This is more explosive than that."
