Faye and Lincoln kept quiet as they packed anything they might need into packs. They hadn't talked much at all since a war had been official after the day on the bridge.

Quiet footsteps sounded at the entrance to the cave.

Lincoln and Faye looked to see Octavia. Of course he told her they were going. Faye glared at Lincoln but he shook it off.

"We had to stop the attack." Octavia said.

"Look, there is so much you don't understand. The mountain men, they'll come, and they'll kill us all. We have to get out of here while we still got the chance." Lincoln moved past Octavia.

"The Mountain Men?" Octavia asked. "You mean the drawings in you book?"

"Yeah." Lincoln nodded.

"They're not as friendly up close." Faye said, only meaning to scare her a bit. She knew Octavia would never understand the horror in the mountain, and hoped she never had to see it.

"Now, let's go." Lincoln said. "We got a lot of ground to cover before dark." He pulled his bag onto his shoulder and started to walk out.

"I'm not going with you." Lincoln stopped at her words.

With a knowing look from Lincoln, Faye waited outside the cave for them.

She waited alone in the woods.

Finally Lincoln came out alone.

"She's not coming?" Faye asked.

"They're her people, not us." Lincoln said, he walked past her and started their long walk to the east.

Almost two miles done and Faye stopped.

"We have to turn back." Faye said.

Lincoln turned to her. "We can't. Luna will take us in regardless if you're a-"

"That's not why. These sky people, they have the weapons to kill our people, just not the strategy." Faye told him.

"You want to betray Trikru. And if the sky people lose, so do we." Lincoln reminded her of their customs.

"No, that's not what I'm saying. I was at the bridge, Anya's second was wounded from the bomb." Faye noticed Lincoln's annoyed sigh and she knew he would say something about the bombing. "You told me Anya needs a healer, and Clarke, she's a healer of sorts back in space."

"I did." Lincoln nodded. "And I told Anya." Lincoln threw his head back.

"It's far fetched, but Anya won't let her second die."

"And? What are we going to do? We can't go against all of Trikru."

"What? Are you scared?" Faye asked.

"Faye, you're being unrealistic."

Faye wasn't listening. She had already started her walk towards the camp. "You aren't gonna let me do this alone, are you?" Faye called back to Lincoln. "I could be killed, or worse."

Despite being one of the best warriors, Faye was no match for all of Trikru, Lincoln kept this in mind as he followed after her.
