"The rover's almost charged. We need to pack up. We'll be home soon." Bellamy said, watching the woods to make sure he could still see Faye.
"Then what? Run away?" Clarke asked, pacing back and forth.
"We're not running away, Clarke." Bellamy closed the rover door. "We need to regroup with the others and find another way to defeat--"
"There is no other way. We need to unlock the Flame. It's the only way to stop Alie." Clarke looked past Bellamy and saw Faye getting deeper into the woods.
"What do you expect us to do, Clarke?" Jasper sighed, sitting on the hood. "Walk into villages asking for their Nightbloods because your girlfriend's too scared." He suggested sarcastically, gesturing to Faye's direction.
"If that's what it takes."
"No, Clarke. If Alie can find us on Luna's rig, then she can find us anywhere. I won't help you destroy another innocent Grounder village." Octavia snapped.
"If we don't find a Nightblood, there won't be any Grounder villages. Or a home for us to go back to." She said, turning to Bellamy.
"That's all the more reason we go there and make sure our friends are okay."
Clarke walked away, storming after Faye who she hadn't seen disappear.
"Faye?" Clarke said into an empty forest. "Faye." She called out, a bit more panic in her voice. When Clarke turned around she was met by an angry Grounder about to attack her, but he was quickly shot down.
Standing only a few feet away was Roan, armed with a bow and arrows.
"Roan?"
"Looks like I'm not the only one who's been following your tracks." He took the Flame from her hand.
"Give that back." Clarke demanded, reaching for the metal case but Roan pulled away.
"Goodbye, Wanheda." He said, turning to leave. He stopped when he heard the sound of a gun clocking.
"Wait!" Clarke demanded.
He ripped the gun out of her hand. "You have a real gratitude problem, you know that?" He threw her gun aside.
"Would you just hear me out?" Clarke asked, following the prince. "I need to find a Nightblood to put that in."
"I already have a Nightblood to put it in. Looks like yours ran away." Clarke looked around the woods, realizing he was right and Faye had disappeared.
"Please, just stop!" Clarke tried again.
"'Cause of you Ontari never ascended. So, no, I won't stop. Not until the Ice Nation has its Commander." When Roan turned to leave again, Bellamy held a gun aimed at his head.
"You were saying? Hands where I can see 'em." Bellamy gestured to Roan with his gun. "You okay?" He asked Clarke.
"Yeah." Clarke told him.
"Where's Faye." He demanded, looking between the two.
"I don't know." Clarke admitted. She looked back out at the woods, as if hoping Faye would come back.
"Damn it, Clarke. Let's go."
"He's coming with us." Clarke told Bellamy.
"The hell he is."
"Why would I do that?" Roan asked.
"Because we both want the same thing, to put the Flame in Ontari." Clarke bargained.
"How do you know he's not chipped?" Bellamy asked.
"If he were, do you think he would have saved me?" Clarke asked.
"Still, we need to be sure." Not trusting the Grounder, Bellamy shot Roan in the arm. Then punched him for good measure. "Now we're sure. Let's find Faye." Bellamy said, heading towards the woods.
"No, Bellamy we have to get back to Arkadia." Clarke said.
"What?" Bellamy looked down at her in disbelief. "We can't just let her run off."
"Faye can handle herself. We have a chance to put the Flame in a Nightblood who actually wants it." Clarke explained. "We'll find her, after we put the Flame in Ontari."

It was hours before Faye reached anywhere she recognized. But soon she found a small village, full of people. She requested a horse and quickly left.
It was a days ride to Polis, but once she got started she didn't stop until she saw smoke. There wasn't a village, only a small camp for two.
She got off her horse and walked closer, finding Rich and Nia sitting around a fire. They both looked at her.
"Faye." Nia said, standing up and running to her friend with open arms. "Where have you been? You had me so worried." She said, panic rising in her voice as she stepped away from Faye.
"It's a long story." Nia dragged Faye to the fire and handed her some food.
"Tell us everything. Where you were, what you were doing. And where is Clarke? Rich said you were traveling with her, and the Flame. Do you have it?" Nia's words rolled out of her mouth as always, but she just didn't sound the same.
"No, I left them behind. Clarke still has the Flame." Faye sighed, shaking her head at the thought she had. She looked up at Nia and Rich who were silent.
"And where's Clarke?" Rich finally broke the silence.
"I don't know." Faye shook her head. She finally stopped. She began to stand, watching her two friends. "I need to go." She started walking away but then everything went dark.
When Faye woke up her hands were bound and her head ached. Her eyes focused and she realized they were just outside the city of Polis.
"What the-" She looked behind her and saw Nia and Rich with empty eyes. They stared blankly ahead, not bothering to give Faye a second look. "Guys?" She said, talking to them both but they didn't pay attention.
They pushed her to keep walking but neither one of them spoke.
Faye acted quickly. Grabbing the hilt of Rich's sword with her hands still bound she hit him over the head with the hilt, dropping the sword.
Nia came at her with a knife and Faye was quick to dodge. It was hard to fight with her hands tied and trying not to harm her friend.
Nia lunged forward and stabbed at Faye's arm, black blood ran down Faye's arm.
Kicking at Nia's feet, the girl fell to the ground and Faye took her knife as she started running towards the secret tunnels with Nia and Rich chasing her.
She ran down the halls, running and taking as many turns as she could without knowing where half of them led. It was not long before she heard voices and ran towards them, expecting an exit, but found Bellamy, Octavia, Miller and his boyfriend.
Faye didn't know what was happening, but they were all heavily armed.
"What happened to you?" Bellamy set down his gun and started to untie Faye's hands, examining her cut gently.
"Where have you been?" Octavia demanded, standing up in a rage.
They all heard heavy footsteps. Faye realized it was more than just two people now.
"We have to go." She pulled Bellamy's arm, trying to pull them along, back into the tunnels.
"Hold on, what's happening?" He asked, looking at her with wide eyes.
Suddenly a group of guards filled the small space and surrounded them all.
