Okay, so if the weight hadn't flown off already it would now, because it's seriously hard to ignore those boys, going at it in their bedroom. They left a while ago, and to be honest Todd had expected Eddy to go there to cry his eyes out. It seems to have turned into something completely different, though.
"Oh! God! Yes!" Brett's sex-voice floats from their bedroom, through the door and into the living room. Todd shakes his head and turns to the work surface where the stuff for the carbonara is still laid out.
"Eddy!" Brett screams, the doors muffling the sound, but only barely.
"You don't reckon we're that loud, do you?" Ian asks him with a grin.
"I don't know. You do things to me, you know."
Ian grins again.
"As do you. I hope they haven't heard us, though."
"To be honest, they probably have. I don't really care. It's only them, right?"
"That's true. So, you're cooking?"
"Yeah." Todd answers, ignoring Eddy's muffled groans coming from behind him, coupled by the sound of their bed, hitting the wall over and over. "Least I can do. So, I think the pasta only needs a couple of minutes as it's fresh, right?"
"You think I know the first thing about cooking fresh pasta?"
Todd turns to his love and grabs him, kissing him firmly for just a moment, his tongue lazily exploring his love's.
"Well, good job you're pretty then." he teases, slaps his cute bum, then winks as Ian's eyes light up.

It takes him cooking, them eating pasta and washing up before the boys finally stumble into the living room. They've had a round two, they've heard that pretty clearly. And Todd can't help himself, he grins.
"Well, hello there! If it isn't the prodigal, or maybe promiscuous, sons."
"Yes, fuck you, Todd." Eddy says as he walks to the kitchen and lifts up the lid to the pan that's been sitting on the cooker, waiting for them to come in. "Ooh! What's this?"
"Pasta and carbonara sauce. We got all the stuff from the farmer's market, freshly made pasta, huge free range eggs, so it's really great. I figured you guys could heat it up when you were... um... done." he says, not quite keeping the humour out of his voice.
Although on the inside he's happy, of course. So happy. Boys who are fucking are not crying. Not sad. Not heartbroken. They can fuck as loudly as they want to, as far as he's concerned.
Brett grins as he walks over to the cupboard, picking out some pasta plates and grabbing some chopsticks.
Pasta with chopsticks. Figures. To be honest, Todd wonders if Eddy's even comfortable using  a fork.
"Yes. I could remind you of a few instances of yours there, Todd, if you'd like?" Brett jibes.
"Please don't." Todd retorts. "Just heat up your pasta and stuff your faces instead, ey?"
Eddy shakes his head and turns on the cooker.
"The pasta smells great, Todd. Thanks for cooking and keeping us some."
'Sure thing, bro. I gotcha."

They both eat as if they'd last eaten three weeks ago, and Todd can't help his smile.
Wow. To think how differently everything could have turned out to be. And yet here they are, and now he knows that Ian was right, earlier. If Eddy's mum has gotten this far in a day, she'll get all the way there, he's sure.
So his friends are safe. And his love seems happier, since they've been together, more confident. Ian has taken everything in his stride and he seems to have no shyness at all at showing the world he's his.

A deep happiness washes over him and fills the gaps where worry was. He sighs deeply and looks around the room.
Wow. They're here. Just the same as they were before they left for Taiwan, and yet... everything is different.

The best kind of different.
