Chapter 74

Shawn's POV... the next day

Waking up this morning, I can't help but smile as Camila and I are a tangled mess of naked limbs. Last night was incredible. After she'd asked me to make love to her, I'd done exactly that... and then some. It was everything we'd both been missing. Watching her now rest peacefully in my arms, I can't help but feel so lucky to have her.

My phone ringing breaks my moment of reflection as I see Sinu is calling. I hate to leave the comfort and warmth of this bed and my girl, but I know if I don't answer some key parts of my plan for today may be thrown off. Quickly and quietly removing myself from the bed, I grab my boxers and throw them back on as I answer the phone.

"Hi mama" I say quietly as I make my way to the kitchen. "Good morning Shawn, I trust you made it to the cabin okay?" she asks. "Yes we did! It's beautiful out here. I can't wait for you all to get here!" I reply. "Wonderful, and we can't wait either. We're all heading your way now. We have a few hours yet, but when we get there your mom and I will make sure everything is set for this afternoon" she says.

"Perfect! Thank you Sinu, truly!" I let out a sigh of happy relief as I can feel everything falling into place. "This is going to be one of the best days of my life" I add. "It's going to be one of the best days of all our lives my boy. I can't tell you how long I've waited for this moment" she replies as the mood grows solemn, "I just wish Ale was here to see how far you two have come" she sighs sadly. "I know mama, but I know he's watching over us and that's all I can ask for" I say. "You're right Shawn, you're absolutely right!" she says. "Alright, I'll let you go get ready, but we'll see you in a little while."

"Sounds good! See you soon! And thank you again for all your help. I really appreciate it. Tell everyone hello for me and we'll see them soon" I say as I can feel her smile through the phone.

After hanging up with Sinu, I text Brian and Conner to see where they are. Both respond they are on their way with Tiffany and will be here soon. I relax a little knowing they aren't far, but underneath my cool facade I'm so nervous and anxious.

"Baby?" I hear Camila call for me.  "I'm in the kitchen my love" I call back as I'm busy checking over a few things on my phone.  I hear footsteps behind me as small arms wrap around and a petite frame melts into my back.  "Good morning" she says quietly as she places gentle kisses between my shoulder blades.  "Mmmm good morning baby, how do you feel?" I ask as I go to turn her in my arms.  "Relieved and so happy" she responds as she leans up on her tippy toes to mesh our lips together.  Humming in response, I let our kisses say the rest as I walk us back to our room.

An hour later I finally get to the several text notifications from the guys letting me know they are here and that the first phase of my plan is complete.  Grabbing Camila in my arms she squeals happily as I carry her to the bathroom and turn on the shower.  After making sure we are both clean, I wrap her in a towel and get ready for the next phase of my plan.

"Hey babe, will you be okay if I run and grab a few things in town for dinner tonight?  I forgot some stuff in the cooler we'd packed..." I say as we dry off and get ready for the day.  Camila nods her head and says sure, "Yeah that's fine.  I'll just spend some time exploring down by the lake until you get back, it's a beautiful day" she says as we both look out at the sun glistening off the clear blue water.

"NO" I almost shout causing Camila to look at me suspiciously.  "I mean... no I think you should wait until I get back and we can go together" I spit out quickly trying to recover from my outburst.   Skeptical Camila eyes me again but replies "Umm.. okay I can wait." 

"Thank you!" I rush out in a sigh of relief.  "I would just really hate if something happened to you.. Ya know there are bears and things out here... Other men too that have no right looking at what's mine" I growl as just the thought of her meeting some handsome lumberjack looking guy on her little excursion makes my blood boil.  "Oh.. okay, okay caveman" she chuckles coming up and patting my chest, "I'll be a good little girl and stay inside and read a book or something" she says as she rolls her eyes.
