Saving Her

Chapter 69

Shawn's POV

"Shawnnnn....." she moans lowly as we come down from our highs. God she's beautiful when she does that. After yesterday's fiasco, we are finally enjoying our alone time and the "to be continued" I was promised. Mama and Sofi have taken Tarzan for an extra long walk for us so we could be alone.

As we untangle from each other, I can't help but hold on to her a little longer. Today is a big day. I've been waiting and waiting to find the right time to do this and it kills me that I only have two people to ask instead of three; but I know if they answer how I think they will, Ale would say the same.

"I love you Camila" I sigh happily as we catch our breath. "I love you too baby" she smiles up at me before kissing my chest. "It's nice to be able to have some alone time" she chuckles. "Oh...yes it is!" I wink.

We end up falling back asleep, naked in each other's arms. Who knew being dog parents would be such hard work? We are tired all the time. But, in hindsight it's a good kind of tired. Taking care of Tarzan and raising him with Camila is a dream. She just knows how to handle him, and in turn me and I think I'm learning so much more about her than I ever thought I would. He's also helped me in ways I never knew he could. When I'm sad, or had a bad day at work; he knows just what I need, which usually consists of curling up on my lap or snuggling into my side while I'm sleeping. Especially on the days when Camila is at work, it's so nice to have Tarzan to help me through the hard times.

Plus, he's just so damn cute!

A loud bark and a few scratches at our door wakes me up. Pulling Camila closer, I kiss her temple and inhale her wonderful vanilla and lavender. She's such a calming force for me anyway, but couple that with her smell and I'm almost always at ease in her presence. That's one of the things I love most about her; despite everything she's been through, she still relaxes me and keeps me in line. I fall more in love with her everyday I get to spend with her and I hope that means for a lifetime.

"Our son is home" she giggles as my stubble gently scratches the skin of her neck. "I know" I say. "Five more minutes though, you smell to good and you know how I feel about naked cuddles" I smirk against her warm skin.

"I do" she says seductively, "But I also know mama and Sofi just took him for a very long walk so we need to be good parents and go take our boy" she winks, wiggling out of my arms and climbing out of bed. Grabbing my shirt from the floor, I watch her slide it over her body and walk over to my side. Kissing me, she messes up my curls before unlocking the door and letting our puppy in.

"Thanks mama! Thanks Sofi!" She yells and we hear a combined "You're welcome" in return.

Tarzan quickly jumps on the bed and snuggles right under my neck like he loves to do and Camila looks on as her two boys stare back at her with big puppy eyes. Gently grabbing him under his belly, I put his face in front of mine so he's still facing her. "Please come back to bed mama. Daddy misses you!" I say in a child like voice. Camila just rolls her eyes as she laughs and picks up the rest of our scattered clothes. Walking over to us, she kisses us both on the top of the head. Cupping her sons face she says "Tell your daddy I miss him too but I have to get ready for work, which means he's on Tarzan duty while I'm gone" she winks and gives him gentle scratches before walking to the bathroom.

While the shower is running I get dressed and head downstairs with Tarzan and grab a cup of coffee. Sinu is working on her laptop at the table so I join her.

"Good morning mama!" I say warmly. "Good morning mijo!" She smiles back at me. "That dog of yours is a handful" she chuckles. "Ha yes he sure is, but he's the best!" I reply.
