Viryn with a unfinished saddle in her lap was finishing the weaving on the sides that were given matching blue beads as her ikran. "Sky people, so close?" "Not people, machines." Using her three fingers Viryn re-enacted the spider like movement she saw the machines doing. "They were so eerie. They moved but I knew they didn't breath, that their energy was not coming of Eywa." Merq'ena scrunched her face in distaste.

In her own lap there were arrows being put together and a half full quiver next to her. "And they were sticking metal into the ground?" "Yes, but not hadhazardly. It was in a pattern that stretched out for miles without change. I'd never seen anything like it." Merq'ena hummed and studied the arrow tip in her hands. "What a weird first date." Viryn instantly halted her work the needle used to thread the beading in the middle of piercing the gaps. "It wasn't a date." She practically whined. "Suuure." "If you liked someone I wouldn't do this." "Since I don't that doesn't matter." The short haired girl gasped dramatically. "What about Witam? He gave us a ride because of you." Merq'ena cringed at the idea which made Viryn laugh. "Kidding."

"We're adults now." Viryn smoothed her last woven edge. "We get go back to the old home tree for our bows." "And now that we have our own ikrans we can basically go everywhere." "It's just set in." "I know, look, chills." There seemed to be loud voices approaching. The two girls paused to look at each other before dropping their things to look outside.

"What's going on?" Merq'ena asked one of the passing Na'vi. "The Olo'eyktan is called the warriors. There's whispers of the sky people moving even closer." Viryn instantly grabbed their bows and handed Merq'ena her's. They joined the many others beginning to move to their sacred meeting place. "Kri!" Her ikran was at her side instantly. "Hyah!" The two quickly soared to the sky with Merq'ena and her ikran next to them. Many others flew to the floating mountain that was the place of their war meetings. "We must act, the sky people have tread too close." Viryn waited for Merq'ena to dismount her own ikran before rushing inside.
The meeting had already began and outrage was in the air. "They may have returned with new tricks, it would be rash to attack now." The youngest people in the room, were the latest hunters. They all looked up at the sight of Merq'ena's coloured skin. A snarling thanator was curled over one of her legs that looked to moved on its own as Merq'ena was stepping to the group. "What'd we miss?" "Sky people were seen in the east with strange new metal machines. They're discussing what to do."

Viryn looked for Neteyam in the cluster of adults in the middle. He was in his usual place next to his father with his ears at attention. "It's too soon. We know nothing about what they plan on doing with these machines. We must set scouts to keep watch of their progress before we come to a decision." "We could not have enough time, they may send us a disease as they did the first time."

As if sensing her eyes on him Neteyam turned to her, the act alone was enough for the teens to whisper hoots and teases. Trying to not pay into the hopefully well meaning jeers Viryn crouched and moved over to Neteyam, taking her place text to him as the future Tsahik. "Hi." He smiled. "Hi." She smiled back. Lo'ak who was stuck now behind the pair pretended to retch so hard he nearly knocked into his other siblings. "Ignore him." Kiri whispered to Viryn as the two non-verbally greeted each other with the traditional gesture. "Hi Tuk." Viryn gestured the same way to the youngest Sully sibling.

When Tuk waved back Viryn turned back to the centre of the meeting. "They are just machines, we can just destroy them." Jake sat crouched with a stern expression. "Then they will send more and Sky people to protect them. I refuse to bring any more vermin into our home." "What choice do we have?" "What exactly were the machines doing?" At that question Jake and Neytiri looked to their son. Seeing Viryn now they greeted her with the same forehead gesture which she returned.

"There are two larger machines at the front of the path that cut down the trees or whatever is in the way. Then there are smaller ones that drop down little pieces and then they stab it into the ground." Neteyam explained using his hands to mimic the movement of the machines. "We didn't get close enough to get a detailed look but they look unarmed." "It's a trap, they want us to attack." "I do not think they even know we know they're there." Viryn spoke up. "They're far away and they were operating at night."
