Merq'ena lifted her bow up and pulled her arrow to touch her cheek. The red fletching just under her cheekbone as she aimed for the piece of fruit set on a fallen tree. Her breathing calm as her eyes narrowed onto her target. She let loose the arrow so that it pierced the fruit dead on. Its green juice leaked from the shot hole like a wound. "Nice!" Viryn smiled and jogged over to the fruit. "Bulls eye." She picked it up so that her hands did not touch the juice dripping down. Merq'ena reached out and pulled her arrow out. A squelching noise was made from the action that made the girls laugh. "Ugh, I've got a sticky arrow now." Merq'ena held out the arrow in front of her. "Lick it off?' Viryn smiled and put a different fruit down on the log before jogging where Merq'ena was standing. "Watch me try it with my left hand." Viryn joked as she wiggled herself to loosen her body. "You'll miss." Merq'ena laughed as she moved behind Viryn. "With good reason." Viryn lifted her left hand to pull back an arrow to her cheek. She sucked in a breath as she aimed for the fruit. "Dad?" She froze.

"What is it?" Merq'ena stopped laughing when Viryn's ear perked up. "Lo'ak." Viryn lowered her bow as Merq'ena moved to place her own ear piece in quick enough to catch the conversation. "They look like avatars. But they're full camo in gear and carrying ARs. 6 of them, over." A hand covered Viryn's mouth. "What's your poss, over." Jake responded. He, Neytiri, and Neteyam were on patrol so they might be able to get to the Lo'ak sooner depending on how far out they were but the girls were already on their ikrans. "Go go go." Viryn whispered to herself with a hand to check on her quiver. "Um, we're at the old shack."

Viryn huffed as she urged Kri to take off. "Who's we?" "Me, Spider, Kiri," Lo'ak paused before sighing. "and Tuk." Viryn looked to Merq'ena who's eyes were also wide at the news. "Son you listen to me very carefully, pull back right now do not make a sound and get the hell out of there move. You copy?" "Yes sir, moving out." Merq'ena held her bow at the ready as they approached the canopy. They were closer to the old shack than where the three Sullys so they quickly landed amongst the densely packed tree branches high above the ground. "We're here and out of sight." Viryn said through the channel. "Over." Merq'ena said outside of the channel. "Oh ya, over." "Do not engage, you hear me? Wait until we get there." Merq'ena looked over the trees to see that they were behind the shack.

"Yes sir." Viryn said as she stroked Kri. "Look." Merq'ena whispered but pointed at the direction with her bow. "I think they're over that way." There was a rustling in the ferns that was too large for it to be simple wildlife. "The Olo'eyktan said to wait." There was a scream that was unmistakeable. "Tuk." Viryn and Merq'ena were moving towards the noise while pressed close to the trees. Merq'ena pointed to the other side of the are and gestured to stay low. Viryn nodded and split off from her sister. She teeth grinded as she was in view of the group. Dream-walkers of the sickly kind that out numbered and frankly out classed the small group of teens that they were gripping onto each one by the braid.

Well, except Spider because he didn't have a braid. She looked up to see Merq'ena close by. Viryn gestured to keep the bow down as subtly as she could, knowing that while they don't look up they might hear her. "Wjiwoisoinn." A dream-walker with a buzz cut walked up. He was the leader, if they needed to kill anyone it would be him. "Losiosnshisoknsoinio." A balder one held up Kiri's hand to show the shaved one her four fingers. "Njlknsokskon." They repositioned Kiri so that they could grip her braid tightly right at the base. It looked painful enough for Viryn to reach for her own braid.

"Shenuoidin." The leader walked over to Lo'ak expectantly. They each moved so differently. Keeping their legs and body more upright but there was a sway to them. Damn, she sort of wish she learned English. She watched worried to see what Lo'ak would do. Was he threatening him? What did they need to know? She watched with baited breath and a hand on her bow. Lo'ak turned to look at the leader and held up both hands. His middle fingers held up while the rest were curled into fists with a smug smile. Merq'ena slapped a hand over her own mouth to hold back a laugh. It was an insult, Viryn sucked in a breath and pursed her lips. "Nusinusijm, sokskio?" The leader smiled at the gesture. What did that mean? Was it not an insult? Maybe it was a greeting and Spider and Lo'ak had lied to her all along. Lo'ak hissed at whatever the dream-walker said. "Yodjndknsm."
