i made it to my room and knocked, remembering George has the key made it rather hard to get in without waking him.

"finally, its literally eleven" he groaned and opened the door for me, allowing me to enter.

"i know, it was crazy" i shut the door and leaned in to kiss him, connecting our lips softly.

we roamed over to the bed and he laid back down, leaving the covers off for me to join next to him.

"lilys old soccer team is downstairs, im gonna surprise her. it wont take very long" i leaned in and kissed him again.

"if your not back by midnight im locking the door and not letting you back in" he squinted his eyes and smiled at me.

i scoffed, knowing he might actually do it. i walked back over to my bag and put a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie on with a tank top under it. i waved good bye and he waved back, just snuggling farther into the pillow it looked like it was smuggling him.

i tip toed down the hallway, making sure no one else heard i was up because i knew that techno and Wilbur would be mad at me. soon i met lily and charlies room, revealing that phil was on their left and daryl and zak on her right. this was going to be hard.

i pulled out my phone and texted her, it showing read 11:17pm below my message. after a moment i heard very faint moving in the room, the door opening directly after.

"what" she whispered at me, her wearing a pair of very baggy grey sweats and a light pink long sleeve crop top. i really wanna know how those are comfortable.

"come with me to the lobby" i waved my hand to follow me and she looked back at the room, i held the door open for her as she bolted back inside, getting her clear rimmed glasses and a necklace.

she threw her hair into a messy bun, putting the necklace on, and sliding the glasses onto her ears, giving me a thumbs up in response.

i shook my head, because for all she knows we could simply be going for a walk and she had to get ready for it.

slowly, i let the door shut, when it locked, it was way louder than i thought it would be so i pierced my lips and started tip-toe running down the hallway to the elevator.

"where the hell are we going" she whisper yelled as i was a couple yards Infront of her.

"the lobby" i said calmly, jumping into the elevator, holding it for her

"why" she stared at me with a new piece of gum in her mouth.

i didn't answer her question, i just spun her around so she was facing the inside of the elevator rather than the doors. after a moment the door dinged in response to us being in the lobby and she tried to turn around, but i held her still as we caught some of the girls attentions, them all gasping and covering their mouths

"what the fuck, why am i facing backwards" she tried turning around and this time i let her.

i watched as the entire team was now looking at her, lilys mouth was dropped wide as she looked at me

"you could have just told me they where here" she scoffed and started walking out of the elevator, i was right behind her.

"that would have ruined the surprise" i shook my head, knowing she couldn't see me but it made a couple of the girls giggle.

"oh my god" that same girl who tried to look intimidating stared at me, then at her, then back at me with shock in her eyes.

"hey guys" lily laughed and opened her arms, allowing multiple girls to come up and hug her.

"so" the sixteen year old came up to me again, seeing lily made her eyes light up

"so" i repeated, just watching as the entire team hugged and talked to lily.

"you are clay" she turned to face me, seeing i was much taller than her.

" i am" i said with a smile on my face, turning to see she has deep red, coiled hair and freckles scattered across her face.

"im ember" she held her hand out for a handshake and i accepted it gracefully, my grip is abnormally strong so she was taken back a little bit. however, so was hers for a 16 year old.

"nice to meet you ember" i smiled, showing my pointed k-9s

"as you" she repeated and looked back to the girls, as i glared around the room, getting looks from passer-byers

"so, what ever happened to lily anyway" she turned to face me and i turned to face her, my arms crossed and a smirk rested on my flushed lips.

"she came to live with me" i said blandly, not trying to give to much information because that would actually jeopardize the family.

"oh yeah? where's that" she stared at me with a curious look, however i saw further intentions behind her eyes.

"Florida" i said calmly. making eye contact with her and seeing that spark that i did not want to see.

"tropical, didn't you guys just get hit with a hurricane?" she asked, making small talk.

"yeah, it missed most of the state though, just hitting the lower parts" i smiled at her, showing my ivory teeth.

"clay" lily came back up to me

i looked down at her and hummed in response

"theres that field outback, can we go play for a bit" she asked, i saw the hope in her eyes

"its not me you have to ask" i held my arms up in surrender, turning to look at ember again

"ember pleasee" lily made the e in please a lot longer that it really was, sounding dramatic

"who's going to watch you guys, it cant just be me" she looked down at lily, then lily snapped her head at me

"your coming" she eyed me with a sassy look and turned around to face her team

"okay then" i chuckled and began walking through the group, ember close behind.

"im gonna tell their coach, ill meet you outback" i felt her hand on my shoulder and then it left.

i turned around and saw lily facing me and all 15 of the other girls behind her.

i waved my hands to follow me and they began walking my direction, following me as i sped walked out the doors, walking past the pool, remembering what had happened there literally only an hour ago.

i saw lily stare at the ground with that same look i had, so i shook my head at her and she nodded, knowing she cant say anything about schlatts men. it got silent for a moment as we made eye contact just talking without physically saying anything.
