Chapter 16: The Big Audition

In the ballroom of the Pomefiore dorm, Vil and Rook are starting the audition, and will be judging how the students are doing.

Then Rook says, "All right, let's get this audition started. Entry number one, you're up. Start the music!"

The first to audition is Ruggie. When the music plays, Ruggie begins to sing and dance to the music.

Ruggie:

(Let us dance to this twisted rhythm)

utsumuki haru iji mo aikyou sa

(Looking down all stubbornly is so charming too)

kamawanai yo

(I don't care)

chotto warui kurai ga ii janai

(What's wrong with being a little bad?)

And soon, Ruggie's turn is finished.

Rook gives his results, "Monsieur Dent-de-Lion. Your fleet footwork and broad smile convey gallantry and boyish charm in equal measure. Beauté! Full marks!

However, Vil says, "You carry yourself well enough, but your dancing and singing both leave much to be desired. Next!"

The next one is Cater. The music starts and he begins to sing and dance too.

And then the music stops.

Rook says, "Monsieur Magicam. Your singing voice sparkled with diamond clarity! I could immerse myself in it for hours Beauté! Full marks!"

However, Vil says, "You did the entire song and dance without any errors, but your performance is utterly lacking in passion. Next!"

And now it's Lilia's turn. The music plays and Lilia begins his audition.

Lilia:

Vil isn't too sure, "I can't quite put my finger on it—for some reason, you show none of the youthful vim one would expect from a student. Next!"
