Later in the night, Briar is sleeping in her room with Sereia and Trinket, and soon enough, like before with the mirror, Briar begins to dream once more. Briar soon finds herself in some wide open field.

"Huh, where am I this time?" Briar asks herself.

Suddenly, she hears a loud scream.

"What?! Was that a girl just screaming?" Briar asks herself.

Briar rushes over and to her shock, she sees the young girl, Snow White wearing a different outfit. The outfit that is suitable for a prince. In front of her is a man that is dressed like a huntsman. He clenches on to the girl's dress with his knee on the ground.

The huntsman says, "I can't! I can't do it! Forgive me. I beg of your Highness, forgive me."

"I don't understand!"

"She's mad, jealous of you! She'll stop at nothing!" The Huntsman answers.

"Jealous of Snow White? But... who...?" Briar asks herself.

Suddenly, the scene changes, and Briar finds herself in some dark underground location. Soon, Briar ends up seeing the Beautiful Queen, but she has a scowl look of anger .

The Queen angrily says, "That blundering fool!"

She then brings out a large glass with some strange bubbling liquid inside.

"Now to transform my beauty into ugliness. Now, begin thy magic spell," The Queen says and drinks the liquid inside.

Then the Queen drinks the liquid. To her shock, Briar sees the transformation right before her eyes. The queen transforms herself into an ugly old woman with warts on her face and a pointy nose, and wears a black robe. Almost like she's an old witch. The look is unrecognized and it's hard to believe she is the same person. That's when Briar realizes that the liquid she has drunk is a magic potion to change her appearance.

Once transformed, the witch says, "A perfect disguise. And now, a special sort of death for one so fair. What shall it be?"

"Death?" Briar asks herself, shocked.

"Why is she going through all this trouble? She made herself ugly and she mentioned a disguise. But she's still beautiful even if she's not... the farthest..." Briar says, and comes to a realization.

That's when Briar realizes, "Wait... Judging by what's been going on, could the Death for someone be talking about, was she trying to..."

Suddenly, Briar hears a voice, "Briar... Hey, Briar... Wake up!"

Moments later, Briar lets out a grunt and groans as she begins to wake up. Even so, Briar can't get over seeing the Queen from her dream and how she transformed, and what she plans to do. She turns her head to see Grim sitting on her lap.

"About time you got up. Follow me and be stealthy about it," Grim says.

He hops off the bed and says, "Everybody else is sleepin', so stay on your tip-toes!"

"What? Grim what are you doing up? And what are you up to?" Briar asks.

"We're wasting time, come on," Grim says.

Not wanting to question, Briar decides to follow Grim out of the room and down stairs. When she reaches the stairs, she meets up with Deuce and Ace.

Ace softly says, "Ah, there you are. C'mon, over here."

"Uh, hu Ace. Deuce. What's up?" Briar asks.

"That dinner we had just wasn't filling," Ace says, "So I was thinkin' about the pastries Trey made for us. The ones sitting in the fridge right now. Wouldn't it be a shame to let perfectly good food go to waste? Trey said we should eat them today, too."

And Deuce says, ""I'm not here for sweets. I'm just, uh...thirsty! I want a drink of water."

"Snacks taste a hundred times better when you're sneakin' 'em at night. Gwee hee hee!" Grim says with a grin on his face.

Briar says to herself in thought, "I've got a bad feeling about this..."

He then happily cheers, "Throw that fridge door wide, baby!"

Then Grim opens the fridge to reveal all the sweets and goodies they have.

"I'll grab a piece of the chocolate cake," Ace says.

Grim happily says, "That apple pie's callin' my name!"

Deuce mutters as his head turns away, "I'm not looking. I don't see any of this."

"Hey, Deuce. Turn this way a sec," Ace says with a smirk on his face

"Hm?" Deuce turns around.

Before he can react, Ace shoves a piece of apple pie in his mouth, "Mmph!"

Stuffed with pie, Deuce exclaims, "Whaphza big idea?!"

"How's Trey's homemade apple pie? Now that you've had a bite, you're our partner in crime," Ace says.

Grim eats the pie and says, "Everything tastes better when it's forbidden!"

Having the pie in his mouth, Deuce munches on it and swallows the piece.

He then says, "Well, I can't let the slice go to waste now that I've bitten into it. If it's just one piece..."

"I think I'll wash this down with some of our confiscated soda," Ace says, and brings out the soda.

And soon, Ace begins to drink the soda.

Briar sighs and places her hand on her forehead, "I can't believe you three woke me up just so three could have your little snack raid."

"Hey Briar, are you going to have some?" Grim asks.

"No. I'm not really the type to have midnight snacks," Briar says.

She yawns and says, "Like you three need me for this. I'm just going back to bed."

Before Briar can do that, the lights suddenly turn on and a familiar voice says, "My, my. What have we here? A pack of little rats scurrying through the kitchen under cover of night?"

Grim flinches, "Myah?! That's... Vil!"

And right there, they see the Housewarden of Pomefiore next to the light switch, and he is not very happy to say the least. And Briar knows that spells bad news for them, especially the boys.

Vil sternly says, "Disobedient children require discipline."
