I walk outside into the forest that raised me putting on my mask. I can feel the hunger starting to form in my stomach, looking around to find some sorce of protein I begin walkign further into the forest careful of my steps. I have my bow in my hand with arrows on my back ready to be checked and my dagger on my thigh. Walking around the trees I spot a small pond with fish in it, grabbing an arrow from my back I check the arrow and begin to aim. I have the fish in my sight and as I'm about to release the arrow I felt the fround shake.
I freeze not knowing what is behind me. Slowly turning my head to the left while keeping the rest of my body still I see a Titanothere. Realizing thats all it is I let out the breath I was holding in taking in that it was also a baby. I turn the rest of my body to stand against the creature and hiss showing my teeth. Although I may just be a human I learned a lot by watching the Navi in both the forest and ocean. The Titanothere stomped its feet at me and I continued to hold my ground but it wasn't budging, that was until I charged at it. It charged back at me, usually this scared them off. This one was much more stubborn. I quickly stopped and booked it the other way. This creature was faster than and even though it was a baby it could still do damage. As I run as fast as I can, I tripped, of course I'm the basic stupid girl who trips. I turned my body over, It didn't take long for it to come over to me and picked me up with his hammer head and toss me into a tree. I grunted and felt massive pain. All I wanted was some food. It then walked away after it noticed I wasn't moving.
After a bit I sat up right and went to stand. I was dizzy and my mask was damaged. I got up and ran to the lab. Running to the lab I saw some fruits and oicked them up to eat.
It didn't take long for me to get to the lab but I had run out of oxygen for about 10 yards before I got back. When I got into the lab I took a deep breath of relief and accessed my injuries. I looked in the mirror and saw a big bruise forming. Nothing too serious, good.
I walked into the cooking area of the lab and began mixing the fruits and making something to eat. I sat down with my bowl and ate away. Feeling full I grabbed another, undamaged, mask from the rack and went back out.
I went to watch the Metkaina, I akways loved watching how they live and got along with each other. I was alone in this forest since they don't come in here. It got very lonely after a whike and thats when I decided to start watching them, from afar of course. To me, they look angelic, to them, I look like and alien and they even call us demons. I don't blame them, I would hate us too.
As I get up to the tree line, while keeping myself hidding. I don't see the cheif but Ronal is in her hut treating an injured navi. I'd give my life to be a Navi. I can see kids doing chores while other are riding Ilu's.
watching them live peacfully until A screach is heard in the sky. There are Ikrans in the sky with riders on them. I become more curious and move to get a better view. They land on the sand and get off their Ikran as the native navi gather aorund them. I can see what I assume to be a mother and father, with two girls and two boys. They all look so tired. But why are they here? They never come this far out.
Ronal exits her hut and walks over to them while the chief rides in on his Skimwing. I cant hear what they're saying but I can see the pleading eyes of the forest navi and the debating eyes of the water navi.
After a bit I see the chief nod his head and they looked relieved. I assume they needed somewhere to stay. The oldest boy is looking arounf and looks into the forest. Theres no way he can see me until I see his eyes squint a little. i duck my head and body behinf the log i was by and feel my heart rate racing. HOW? I've never been spotted before. Is it because they lived in the forst so they can actually see the difference? Did the sun hit my mask? I'm fucked.
I went to look back up to see if he made a fuss. He started following the chiefs daughter and looked back into the forest.
