The Girl Reborn / Neteyam x reader

Cave

"You gave your life to protect this place, you even gave your sanity for a while, what you did to everyone on the ship was their fault" Neteyam told me. 

"I feel like the innocent part of me died that day and that's what you liked about me," I said looking into his eyes.

"She did die that day," he said looking at me causing me to look at him confused, "but a new you was born, a much stronger one, a warrior, someone who is ready to defend,"

Neteyam kissed my forehead and I just kept looking at him.

"But I didn't like your innocence, I liked the way you thought and the way you looked at me, the way you fought by our side on that ship and to save Payakan" he said pulling back away, "I didn't fall in love with you because you were human, I fell in love with you because your soul is beautiful."

I smiled up at him expressing his emotions.  He looked between both of my eyes like he wasn't done.

"That smile," I he said looking looking at it, "that's what I strive for everyday, a genuine smile from you that makes me want to wrap you up and hold you close never letting you go.  I didn't see you on that ship, but my parents did, they told us how well you fought and how ready you were.  You were brave and smart."

I felt speechless and had no clue what to say.  I just kept looking at him smiling while we were still swimming.  I placed my hand on his face. He grabbed my hand and kissed it.

"Now come on we still have to walk," he said pulling me alongside him. 

We swam until we were able to walk out of the water farther into this cave.  We were still holding hands with Neteyam basically dragging me.  We were walking farther and it was getting darker. 

After walking for a while we came to an entrance covered in glowing vines that looked beautiful.  Neteyam still in Front, lightly pushed the limbs and held them for me to walk through.  He turned to look at my reaction. 

When I stepped into this room in the cave the vines were painted along the circular shaped wall making the room slightly glow.  I don't know where this cave came out of but the top had nothing and we could stare into the night sky. 

I looked around amazed at how beautiful the room was.  The vines made the room glow with a pink and orange tint. 

Looking over at Neteyam he was smiling looking back at me.  "You look so beautiful love" he said pulling me closer to him. 

"Youre so very handsome lover boy" I said smiling. 

The way his eyes were looking at my body, my hair and my eyes made me get butterflies.  I looked at him with love in my eyes and I felt peaceful. 

Neteyam grabbed onto my waist pulling me to him and put his hand on the side of my neck.  He looked into my eyes deeply.  "You are my whole world" he said pulling our faces closer. 

I looked at him giving him permission to kiss me looking down at his lips.  He followed my action and looked down to mine longing for them. 

He slowly pulled me into the kiss leading me.  I put my hand on the back of his neck holding him as well.  When our lips connected I felt a shock of nerves rocking through my body. 

Neteyam pulled my body closer to him holding me.  We passionately kept kissed.  Everything about this felt right. 

Neteyam was the first to pull away out of breath and looked at me.  "I'm sorry, I don't know what got into me, it's just the way you were smiling and-" he started to ramble.

"Don't be sorry, you're my boyfriend you're allowed to kiss me" I said putting my hand on his face adoring him. 

"You just look so beautiful" he said in awe, "i can't believe how lucky I am"

Neteyam grabbed my hand and pulled me over to to sky light and laid us down.  I laid beside him and felt him wrap his arm around me. 

"Is there anything else you want to ask" he said shrugging my shoulders to get my attention.  "I feel like we should both know how each other felt"

"What did it feel like?"  I said quietly, "when I you know,"

"I felt like a part of me was taken with no care," he said taking a breath, "I felt your body go limp and I thought you were just tired but when I whistled and there was no response I freaked out" he looked down at me, "I tried to take you back to the village in denial but my parents didn't let me.  I was so hurt I couldn't comprehend you were gone then my sisters were stuck on the boat still and we had to save them"

I felt my breath hitch in my throat hearing the hurt in his voice as he replayed the memory. 

"When I got the the ship I felt nothing but anger and slaughtered so many people, as did my mom.  She looked just as hurt as me," Neteyam said looking at the sky.

"Really," I asked not believing him.

"You didn't see the hurt on everyone's face, we felt like we failed you.  Lo'ak was silently crying and so was Tsireya.  My dad was quiet he had no feelings but regret showing.  My mom was sad and hurt.  Even spider was upset." Neteyam told me.

"Where has spider been?" I asked him realizing I haven't seen him.

"He's been avoiding you for some reason I think because he's human you'll blame him and he didn't want to cause you to have an episode so he's been in the lab" he told me looking back at me, "I hope that's okay,"

"No the human with limited oxygen can't stay in the lab with filtered air from here to oxygen," I said sarcastically rolling my eyes.  "I don't care I don't need it"

Neteyam rubbed my shoulder, "my mom almost killed spider because of your death" he said bluntly which is something I did not know.  "And to get Kiri back" he added, "after that happened some more stuff happened but it's not inportant, we gather by Lo'aks Tulkan, come to think of it spider ran off some where and I'm not sure where before coming back"

"That's sketchy," I said thinking out loud "you don't think he tried to save his dad do you?" I said.

Neteyam pulled his head back, "of course not, he knows his dads a monster". 

"Okay," I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Were you able to hug your parents?" He asked me changing the topic.

I smiled a little, "yeah I actually was this time," I said feeling him hug me a little bit.

"Thats great, I hope you were able to say bye to them" he said.

"I did, it's was nice," I said recalling it.  I got a confused look on my face, "my parents were going to tell me something about spider but was cut off" I said shooting up looking at him. 

"I'm sure it's nothing," Neteyam said pulling me back down, "even if it is it's something for another time," he looked at me, "ask me more, I want you to feel better"

"Okay," I said taking a pause, "did you come back to save me or spider," I asked and I heard him snicker.

"I didn't even know you were still on the ship until Lo'ak said something, when he said something about spider I was hesitant but the. He said your name and I ran with him" Neteyam said.

"Tuk and Kiri didn't know until later did they," I asked.

"No they didn't till we swam back to the rock, Kiri new your story wasn't over either. Tuk, oh tuk," he said taking a breath.  "Shes so young and she didn't understand at first and when she did she just seemed broken"

"I don't know what else to ask," I asked trying to think but couldn't think of anything.

"That's okay, i can ask you and you can answer" he said throwing the idea out, "we need this"

That's what happened to spider. He didn't disappear he's just hiding 😂😂 I won't lie tho I did forget about his character that last few chapter
