Eywas Land

Y/n pov

As everything closed around me I felt nothing. The pain was gone but Neteyams grasp on me was too.

I felt deaths embrace hold me tightly like it was suffocating me. The only way I could describe it is cold, black and nothing. I could mentally still feel the pain I was feeling before this. This was terrifying and horrible. Was this hell? It feels like I've been here for hours if not days....

I felt alone and not the good kind of alone, the kind that you long for someone's touch. It was so scary in the nothingness. My soul felt lost and no where. Is this what it's going to be like forever? Just nothing?

I woke up, not on pandora though, on a different plane, the same tree as before appeared in front of me. The colors seemed brighter and everything seemed peaceful here. Maybe I'm not in hell.

I smiled looking around drawn to the tree again. This was so nice, nothing to worry about and not feeling pain now.

I walked over to the tree and laid down in the grass feeling the perfect temperature on it. I smiled and felt the grass all around me, I was soft and felt perfect. Everything here was perfect.

"My sweet girl," I heard and sat up looking forward.

"Mom," I said running to her but stopping before I got too class like last time.

"Get over here," she said to me and before she even finished her sentence I was running back to her.

I ran into her arm holding her tightly. "I've missed you," I said to her. Then the realization of being here clicked. I'm dead. I won't see Neteyam anymore. I won't see Pandora anymore.

"We missed you too sweet child," I heard dad say coming into the hug. We stayed there for a minute give or take. I broke away crying looking at them, "I'm dead," I said

They looked at me with soft eyes, but they weren't sad, "this is just the beginning sweet heart" mom said to me touching my shoulder.

"Come and sit," dad said pointing at the tree.

We walked over to the tree and sat down looking at it. "You know we are so proud of you, you were so strong on the ship, Eywa told us you were doing exactly what she wanted" mom told me looking at me.

"You were so brave and ready to protect everyone even if it meant putting your life at risk," dad said, "Eywa is more than happy with what you've done, you've proven your love for this place"

"That I am my sweet sweet child," I heard the same voice as before. Eywa. "Your dedication to protect my land, my people here, has shown." Eywa said, "This is where the souls come after death, where the Navi can visit their loved ones, but you my child will not stay,"

"Mother Eywa, why did you choose me?" I asked her.

"Because my child I've seen you live here, I've seen you cherish this land, and I knew you'd be the one to protect it and give everyone the strength to even after your death," eywa said.

"But the protector, I died? How did I protect anything?" I asked disappointed in myself.

"You protected Neteyam, you protected everyone and the land with your death, you're death caused much strength to form in the Sully family and they were able to defeat the sky people on the ship."

I looked down, Neteyam I want to hug Neteyam again. Tuk and Kiri didn't even know.

"Y/n, I will let you and your parents have a few minutes to explain to you what's going to happen," Eywa said as the tree dimmed.

I looked at my parents confused as to what she meant and they just smiled at me.

"Y/n, you won't be staying here. You're going back," mom said smiling and really happy she brought be into a hug.

"I can't go back, my body has been without oxygen for so long, it won't be possible," said dismissing what she said.

"You won't have your human body, Eywa has been incubating a Navi body for you in the Algae." Dad said to me which made me smile.

I hugged both my parents in excitement. "We're not sure how much longer you have here y/n cause after they burry your human body you will return." Dad said pulling me away.

"We love you so much, and we are so happy for you, you and Neteyam are destined to be together and we are so excited to see who you were meant to be" mom said kissing my cheek.

"Thank you Eywa" I said looking at the tree, I didn't get a verbal response but I saw the tree glow brighter and dim back down.

I looked behind my parents and saw Tuk there. "Tuk" I said looking at her was she gone too?

"Y/n!" She said running to me. I gave her a hug and picked her up. She's not much shorter than me so I didn't pick her up much.

"What are you doing here?" I asked panicked looking at her.

"We're at the spirit tree, talking about you... I connected to it and came here" she said and I let out of breath. "I don't know why no one else thought of it, but I have to leave" she said giving me another hug.

"Wait, how is everyone," I asked her and her ears dropped and she had a sad face.

"They're all so hurt but Neteyam took it most to heart. He is falling apart it seems, he whistled at you but got no response" she said looking at me with sadness in her eyes. "Each time it all became more real and he thinks it's his fault, he misses you we all do"

I feel so bad, I told him not to blame himself.

"You be safe Tuk, I'll be closer than you think" I told her trying to hint to her but it completely flew over her head.

And with that she left and I turned to my parents and gave them a soft smile. "I guess they're going to burry me soon," I told them giving them both hugs.

"When you get back, don't let anyone take away your smile or your free spirit." Dad told me

"We love you sweet child," mom told me as the ground started to pull away from me. "Oh hunny we need to tell you, Spider-" she was cut off but I didn't give much thought to what she was about to say.

I looked at them content with leaving this time and smiling at them as I felt my soul be pulled into my new body.

It took me a second to realize I was in my new body. I opened my eyes wide almost taking a breath when I realized I was under water.

Looking around all I saw was yellow until I pushed myself up. I saw the yellow algae bed I just came from. I looked at my hands and saw they were blue. I felt stronger than I was and smiled.

My hair flowed around and I smiled so much that not only was I back but I was Navi.

I rose myself up to the surface looking at the night sky through the water. Once I got to the surface I took in a deep breath and felt the air of Pandora on my face.

Everything looked so much better colors were brighter and I could feel more, the air was smooth and sweet but I could feel the sadness in it. I looked around until I saw the Sully family.

I smiled to myself and began to cry. They all looked so broken and hurt, I felt something on my head more back and felt it, oh shit I even have ears I laughed silently to myself.

Looking at the family I stayed in the same spot and whistled as loud as I could given I didn't know if they'd hear me.

They all stopped in their tracks perking their ears up.  I smiled bigger than I thought I could. 

I saw all of their ears perk up and everyone's on the shore as well.  One by one the Sully family members turned around.
