The sun was going down and everyone was getting ready for the celebration. I put on a top that me, Kiri and Tuk made together. It had shells on it mixed with some vines from the forest. The top was absolutely stunning and I loved it.
As I slipped it on I heard the girls gasp at how nice it looked on me. "You look so good in that" Kiri told me.
Neytiri was smiling at me, I think she was happy I was getting used to my Navi body.
I braided parts of my hair and leaving the rest down free. My hair was still very long but I liked it free. Kiri was placing decorative garments on me while Tuk was playing with my hair.
"Since tonight is about celebrating you, you need to look your best," Kiri told me.
"It's not just about me, it's about us catching a lot of good fish," I told her humbly.
Kiri looked at me and rolled her eyes, "they're celebrating you for the most part, your first time out hunting and you brought back the biggest-"
"The hugest," Tuk said chipping in.
"-fish," Kiri finished saying smiling, "you showed them you are stronger than they thought by carrying it back but not only thanking Eywa once but twice"
"It's still just a Team celebration," I told her trying to make her agree with me.
"And that's why it's about you, you could be a leader one day with that attitude but for now, take your victory and be proud" Neytiri said tilting her head down asking if I understood.
"Fine. Fine. But I feel like I need something a little bit more in my hair," I said feeling like it was bland.
"Will this work," Tsireya said coming in holding a band of red flowers with dark green seashells.
She brought it over to me for me to look at it better and I was star struck by it. "Absolutely" I said to her.
Tsireya began weaving the flowers and shells through my hair. She took some red paint she had as well and brushed it along my shoulder down to my elbows.
"And just like that you're done" she said nudging Kiri and Tuk to look.
"You are so pretty," Tuk said grabbing my hand.
"I can't wait for Neteyam to see you," Lo'ak said walking in.
"Hey this is girls only," Kiri told him trying to shove him out.
"I'm okay with it if you guys are we're done anyways," I said allowing him to stay.
"We should get going the Celebration will start soon" Tsireya said walking out with lo'ak.
We all followed them out. I was for some reason behind them like they were hiding me. I think they were trying to surprise Neteyam with me.
We kept walking until they stopped and parted ways, and I was right. Neteyam stood there talking to Jake. Jake was the first to notice me as Neteyam had his back to me. Jake nodded his head to greet me and I smiled nodding mine as well.
Neteyam looked around to me and smiled when he saw me. He looked at my top and smiled even wider as well as seeing the paint on my arms. He looked into my hair like I was a literal angel.
"You are so.." Neteyam started Not finding the right words causing me to smile even bigger, "perfect" he said.
"Why thank you Neteyam" I told him noticing the same red paint in his arms in the same spot, I assume this is a resemblance of our love but not being mates. Jake and Neytiri along with other mates had a light green matching where their partners lines were. And those who did not have mates had white thin streaks like Kiri. And kids too young didn't have any paint.
