Too Much

It's been a week since the Chief told me I could visit the clan, I don't get why he was being so nice to me but like he said, Eywa told him they needed me. So that's the only reason that makes sense to me. Neteyam visited me most nights but he still had things to do in the clan so I wasn't shocked he'd only come at night.

I have yet to visit the clan because I know I will be viewed as a demon and I do not wish to intrude. I still just watch from the forest and live my life here. The days passed slow as I waited for Neteyam to visit me at night but this time he came before eclipse.

"Hey," Neteyam spoke up as I was taking care of the plants in my garden. I wasn't expecting him so soon so he indeed scared me.

"Hey, what are you doing here before eclipse?" I questioned back to him.

"I just wanted to check in on you," Neteyam laughed a little, "the chief told you you could visit the clan, so why havent you?" he finished.

"Because I'm not Navi, I don't want to disrupt anything and intrude." I told him truthfully, I figured he'd understand and see my point but I was mistaken.

"Nope. That's not good enough, you got approval by the Chief himself to come, so you should there are some people wanting to meet you," Neteyam tried to convince me. I could see it in his eyes he really wanted me to.

"I don't get why your being so pushy about it," I was scared to visit them. Sure there might be a couple who want to know about the girl that lived in their forest, after all, a lot of them grew up thinking it was just rumors. There were still going to be some who saw me as a demon and I understand.

"I'm not being pushy, I'm being motivating.." Neteyam trailed off, "It'll be fun and okay I promise, I'll be right by your side so you have nothing to worry about." He finished walking over to me trying to make me walk out of the forest. I went around him and tried to run away playfully.

"You can't make me go," I teased back at him sticking my tongue out. "Yes I can," he stated then started to chase after me. Neteyam let me have my fun by chasing me around the forest for a little bit. Of course he was going slow given he could easily catch me if he really wanted to.

"You know, it's almost feast time, you could come a see everyone then it would be as obvious." He tried to compromise catching up to me and standing in front. All I could do was stand there cause if I tried to run again he'd stop me. "I dont know Neteyam," I said debating it, it might be more subtle that way, "they might chop me up and serve me as the feast," I said laughing and smiling and he laughed along with me, "I promise that won't happen," Neteyam said softly.

"Fine, but do not leave me alone or I swear to Eywa, I'll have my arrows the next time I see you," laughing, he nelt down and gave me a huge hug, "this is going to be great i promise." neteyam said in my ear giving me slight goose bumps. "Thats great... but your crushing me" I said exaggerating the strength he was using weezing my breath.

"Oh, shit, sorry" was all he could say letting me go and giving me an awkward smile, "I forgot about the whole having three feet on you and being stronger thing,"

"You're not that much stronger than me," I began to tease him.

Neteyam began to walk me out of the forest but I just stopped, I froze. I've never been outside of the forest and here I was meeting the outside world. Neteyam took a second and nelt down by me, "You'll be fine, like I said I'm going to be right here." he winked to me and I gave him an unsure look. "That or I could just toss you over my shoulder," he began to smile.

"no!" I yelled at him smiling backing away, "I just need a second, i'm scared." I looked deeper into his eyes, his eyes, they're so beautiful.

"You're drooling y/n," Lo'ak appeared out of no where he stated looking between us. Neteyam coughed a little to ease the tension. "Mom wanted me to tell you that the feast is going to be soon and to come back," he said looking only at Neteyam, "Are you joining?" He asked looking down at me.

I appreciate that they don't belittle me and talk to me like I'm not a demon.

"Nope," I stated trying to leave turning a 180. I couldn't do this.

"No you don't," Neteyam said runnign after me, next thing I know both him and Lo'ak are gaurding me from going anywhere.

I looked around trying find an exit, there really wasn't, if I moved, they moved. I just sat down on the ground and laid back, "GOSH I GIVE UP, fine,". Neteyam walked over to me and went to give me his hand, I declined it still laying down. He then proceeded to grab both my hands and toss me over his shoulder like I was nothing. "Put me down!!" I started to squirm laughing around as he proceeded to tickle me.

"You know y/n, to decline the Chiefs offer of letting you come to the clan is a tad disrespectful," Lo'ak said glancing as Neteyam with a slight grin.

"He's got a point," Neteyam agreed. Thus causing him to set me down and they looked at me, "really? I didn't think of it like that" I stated back to them with a feeling if guilt. "fine, and I promise, I won't run this time." I said to both of them as they lead me back out of the forest. My nerves were building up all over again.
