Lo'ak lead the way to where the Ikrans are. I stayed beside Neteyam as we left the hut and I looked at him and just adored everything about him and his home.
While walking out of the hut and away from the people I was able to hear some people whispering about me. I heard some saying that i could be the next Toruk Makto. As much as I love myself I'm not that full of myself, my ears perking up at that thought.
Then there were some people saying I did not belong there and how Jake Sully was the expedition not the rule. In which my ears went back as I took offense. Neteyam must have noticed cause he grabbed my hand and gave it a kiss.
"Eywa brought you back her self, they have no clue what they're talking about," Neteyam whispered in my ear.
"I know, they're scared of sky people and what they've done, they have every right to feel how they do," I told him nodding.
I wasn't wrong. I do not blame these people for how skittish they are. I personally hate humans too even though I was one once.
We continued walking and hiking for what felt like forever. We were finally up on the mountain edge and this is where Neteyam and Lo'ak both stopped me from proceeding.
"What?" I asked smiling looking at them.
They both exchanged looks of worry which made my ear go back again and my tail stop.
"Y/n, there's things we need to tell you," Lo'ak said nudging his brother.
"Go on..." I waved my hand in Neteyams face.
"You don't exactly pick your Ikran, they pick you," he paused.
"Well that's not too terrible, how do I know which one picks me?" I asked looking between them.
"They try to kill you," Lo'ak said earning a slight shove from Neteyam, "what there isn't a better way to word it,"
"What shows better loyalty than trying to kill someone at the first sight," I laughed to myself thinking about the first time I met Neteyam, "I'm pretty sure that's the norm in this world, I was ready to harm you when I first met you," I said pointing at neteyam
Neteyam laughed, "I remember," he said kissing my forehead. "Are you ready,"
"More ready than I'll ever be," I told him pushing passed and going around the corner to the Ikran.
I pass the corner and see dozens of Ikran just minding their own. I stand their waiting for one of them to try and kill me. I looked back to Neteyam and Lo'ak and shrugged.
Lo'ak fake hissed at me and pointed to the Ikran hinting I needed to do that.
I turned around and hissed. I looked into the crowd of Ikran and no response. I turned my my head and looked back at the boys with a side eye. Neteyam made a motion with his hands and body that basically told me to be louder and more scary.
So that's what I did. I hissed louder and tried to make myself more scary. I looked more into the crowed and still got no full response. So I ran towards them and spooked one.
It faced me and cocked its head at me then hissed. This is it... other Ikran flew off. I was face to face with mine and started to wrestle with it. As I'm in the middle of wrestling I heard this loud Ikran in the sky and see a huge shadow above the clouds. I ignored it not thinking much of it.
"Y/n, in all seriousness, make that connection right now!" Neteyam yelled at me looking at the sky. "Now and fly," he said.
I looked over and saw him and Lo'ak getting on their ikrans ready to take off whenever I take off.
I made the connection much quicker and harsher than I wished to of because I was being rushed. "Just stop," I told it, I hoped on the back feeling all of this animals muscles, breaths and nerves and slowly got overwhelmed not knowing how to fly it.
"I don't know how," I said as I looked in the sky and saw the Toruk flying above me knowing the meaning of this animals. "FLY" I yelled and took off.
"Imagine you are the bird love and GO," Neteyam yelled at me and they both took off of the cliff with me.
I heard the screech of the Toruk behind us. I took a deep breath and felt how my Ikran felt and took off steady and fast with the boys. Instead of flying in the open sky we went into the trees to get away from the Toruk.
Which of course did not help much in the beginning but the deeper we got in the trees the more we got separated from the Toruk and from each other. I had no clue where I was going once I lost sight of the boys who I'm sure stuck together.
I stayed where I was flying in the trees for quit some time before I made a break to the sky. I got to the top of the trees and called out for the boys.
"NETEYAM!!!! LO'AK" I yelled as loud as I could. Followed with a whistle
"y/n" *whistle*
"love" *whistle*
I heard from each of the boys. They were still down in the trees flying.I stayed in the sky and waiting for them the come up with me. I flew in circles feeling free and even started rotating in the air and going in circles that put me upside down when I got to the top.
I noticed the boys were already up and staring at me having a blast. Lo'ak looked so happy for me and in awe. Whereas Neteyam, he looked so happy that I was okay and having a blast but so scared for me.
"Are you ready to head home?" Neteyam asked releasing a breath.
"Yeah me and my Ikran are tired," I stated as we started to fly home.
"You know you have to name it right?" Lo'ak asked me.
"I know, right now I'm thinking Iris," I said looking down at it's beautiful colored and two mirroring black patterns that look like the Iris flowers on earth.
"I like that," Neteyam said
"Me too," Lo'ak chimed in
We continued to fly home and land where there was an open spot to place our ikrans.
When we got off Neteyam ran over to me and gave me the tightest hug in which I hugged him back.
"I thought we lost you again when we got separated," Neteyam said in the crook of my neck.
"Oh no lover boy, I'm right here and I'm okay, nothing happened," I said rubbing his back and kissing his neck. "I'm right here," I said comforting him.
I pulled his face away and even though some comfort was brought to his face but hugging me and making sure I'm okay, something still seemed off about him. I looked deep into his eyes and noticed there was something going on he wasn't going to tell me about.
I looked over to lo'ak who had the same look but i could make him crack.
"You're here," Neteyam said putting his hand on my face "congratulations love," he said pulling me in to give me a kiss.
I parted my lips to kiss him back. This was a desperate I need you kiss and I wanted him to know I needed him too.
Lo'ak slightly coughed in the and raised an eye brow and the both of us and started making kissing sounds.
"Oh hush little bro, you just miss Tsireya," Neteyam said walking over and patting his shoulders.
Lo'ak brushed his hands off and scoffed.
"I'm going to inform the parents of this news, in the mean time Lo'ak," Neteyam said pointed at him then the ikrans then me while leaving.
"So what aren't you guys telling me," I asked trying to catch him off guard. "And don't lie I can see it in your eyes," I said crossing my arms.
.............

Update!
