Morning Flights or Fights? Pt II

"When we get back, I will dress you for war and do your hair," she said looking at me while flying around.

"Okay, what are you planning to do?" I asked neytiri.

"Well your war paint is to look like your Ikran and since you're toruk makto your paint should have red, orange, yellow, and black." She said explaining what goes into the war paint, "your paint with be the pattern of your Ikran,"

"I did not know that, what are you thinking for my hair?" I asked.

"Well your hair will have to be something like the toruk maktos hair, but you are a women so it must be different," she explained waving her hands.

I nodded at her and smiled, I can't wait to see what she does to me to get me ready for war.

We continued flying as the sun started to come up. We had some small talk until I saw something in the distance.

"What is that?" I asked point out to the unknown object in the sky.

"That's a sky people ship," neytiri said wide eyed looking at me.

"I say we take it down," I said flying to it.

Neytiri agreed and flew behind me. We were getting closer to the ship trying to stay out of sight.

As we got closer we started getting our bows ready to fire.

I pulled my arrow and aimed at one of the ships motors as Neytiri was on the other side doing the same thing. We released and shot our arrows causing the ship to start descending.

As the ship fell I followed and got to the front and fired another arrow into the drivers chest to kill him.

Neytiri was still up in the sky watching and making sure it was the only ship.

As she stayed up there I started to make my way up to her. Before I even got far enough away from the ship I heard and explosion.

Shortly after I heard the explosion I saw metal flying past me and being tossed off balance then getting hit in the shoulder by a piece of scrap metal.

"Ahh," I yelled feeling the metal in shoulder. My Ikran felt it as well and screeched out causing us to descend as well.

I made eye contact with neytiri for a split second before I started spinning. She looked worried and flew down with me but in control.

I started to get down by the trees and falling between the limbs. I got disconnected from iris and continued to fall as I assume she was able to catch herself.

I was getting more stable into the trees and saw some vines as I was falling. I reached out to them to slow my fall and held on to them. I broke the vine and swung onto a limb.

I grabbed the limb and held on to it. I pulled myself up and sat on the limb catching me breath. I wasn't hurt terrible but I definitely looked like I was. Some how I still have my bow in my hands so I sat it on my lap.

I tried to reach the metal to pull it out and I couldn't. I could tell it did damage but not enough to be worried about. I was unable to move my arm in fear I'd do more damage.

Neytiri called out to me to try and find me and I recuperated her sound to guide her to me.

Neytiri flew into the branch and landed. She jumped off her ikran and ran over to me. She looked at all the little cuts on my arms and my face and chest to make sure I wasn't going to die again.

"I'm okay, mom," I said kind of mocking the mom behavior she was giving me.

She let out a breath, "good," she said. Followed was a light smack over the head, "what were you thinking? They would have died on their own," She said still slightly worried.

"I didn't want to take the risk of them not dying knowing our luck," I said lightly pushing her hand not moving my left arm.

I kept it in a sling position which probably looked normal while I was sitting. I started to try to stand on the limb keeping my arm like that.

I got to a standing position and looked around. Neytiri saw me keeping my arm babied.

"What's wrong with your arm," she said moving me.

She grabbed my arm and turn me causing me the wince in pain. "Oh child we've got to get back," she said walking me to her Ikran.

"Wait, iris," I said stopping her, "I've got to know she's okay,"

I called out to Iris hearing her ruffle through the trees onto our limb. She landed and I walked to her and put my head on hers.

"You're okay, that's good," I said hopping on her.

"You can't fly her y/n," Neytiri said, "you're hurt, iris will feel it and not be able to use her wing," she said stepping onto her Ikran. "You must ride with me."

"Oh yeah, that's why we started falling," I said laughing and hopping off.

I connected to Iris to communicate with her, "follow us" I said and disconnected.

I walked carefully over to Neytiri's Ikran and hopped on. Neytiri took off to the sky as I sat on the back.

I held my arm watching Iris behind us following. We flew for sometime before I saw where the home was.

As we crept closer I could see the three boys standing along the edge of the cliff. Iris knew where to go and took off to the cliff leaving us behind her.

She got to the cliff and I saw Neteyam get worried along with the other two.

Neytiri landed on the cliff and hopped off her Ikran helping me down. The boys ran over to us and started to look at me and all the dirt and cuts on me.

Neteyam grabbed my face and I smiled at him, "I'm okay," I said moving his hands with my one arm.

"What were you thinking, what happened," Jake said to me.

"Ma'Jake, no," Neytiri said looking at him telling him to back off.

Jake looked at her like "come on," and she just shook her head dismissing him.

"We saw a ship and took it down and it exploded and I caught cause in the debris and fell through the trees but I'm okay," I said looking at all the over the boys.

"Are you sure?" Neteyam asked making sure.

"Of course," I said smiling.

Neteyam hugged me not noticing my back and I winced, "okay minus this," I said turning my back.

"Oh my Eywa," Neteyam said looking at it putting his hand lovingly on my other shoulder.

"I should probably go get this taken care of," I said looking back at the boys who were looking at the piece of shrapnel in my back.

Neteyam started walking me to Tsahiks tent kissing me on the head. "I can't lose you again, so don't die," he said grabbing my hand.

"I won't lover boy," I said looking at him laughing, "it's just metal in my back,"

I'm still wanting to know if anyone wants to give y/n a face!!!  I have the perfect image picked out
