Mid War Loss

Neteyam and I flew down into the forest.  I looked at him and nodded for him to go one way as I went the other way. 

We separated ourselves so we could cover more area.  I was flying through the trees seeing these machines with humans inside of them but they were controlling the machines.

I saw a group of them walking on the ground.  I landed iris on a tree branch and hopped off her.

I jumped from limb to limb making my way closer so I could get a shot.

I got to my desired limb and pulled an arrow back. I aimed it at the machine guy in the front and hit him right in his chest.

The other quickly noticed and started shooting in my direction. I hopped over to other limbs and tossed myself on one of the machines stabbing the guy in the chest with my knife.

He stood there for a second so I stayed on top of the machine and shot an arrow into the other machines man and hit him in the head.

The machine I was on slowly started to fall so I leaped off and rolled on to the ground gracefully. I ran around the last machine man and climbed up to the top and stabbed him in the neck hissing at him.

I jumped off and called iris. I saw her flying through the trees to me. I jumped on her before she landed and took off back through the trees.

As we made our way out, we started getting fired at by a small ship in the trees. I looked back to see what it was. It was the same size as us so there wasn't any losing it in a small space.

We flew through the trees still getting fired at trying to get away.

I took a harsh turn and as I did that iris's wing got clipped. I winced in pain feeling it. It wasn't anything fatal luckily.

I took my chance looking up seeing a clearing of the limbs and dove straight up into the sky with iris.

The ship followed us into the sky still shooting at us. I turned around as we flew forward checking an arrow and trying to hit the person flying. I missed barely.

He was still shooting at us until I saw toruk flying over to us and getting in between the ship and us.

I allowed toruk to get between us and take the ship down.

He turned around and bit the head of ship chomping down on it killing who ever was inside.

I turned around to fly past toruk before heading back down.

I called to him and nodded my head and smiled. Then I went back into the forest.

"Check in?" I asked everyone on the mic.

"Me and Neytiri are good and sticking together," Jake said.

"Good," I said waiting for the boys response.

"Same with Lo'ak and I love, we're all good," Neteyam said.

Hearing his voice brought comfort to me knowing he's still okay.

"What about you?" Neytiri asked into the mic I assume getting a free second.

"I'm okay, so is Iris, she got grazed by a bullet but we're okay," I said.

"Be careful," I heard Neteyam say.

"Remember, no one's dying today, we will be okay," I said leaving our check in at that.

After saying that I felt something churn in my gut like i just jinxed myself.

I was flying in the trees and saw a group of Navi fighting hard for their lives. The human in their machines out weighed them.

I flew down releasing an arrow into one of there machines killing one of them.

"It's toruk makto!" One of the Navi yelled and after that other did a yell.

There were some humans with just a mask on and guns rather than in machines.

After the Navi yelled I was here he got shot in the head and collapsed. I felt so hurt for what I had said that no one was dying.

I asked for eywas help as there were only 6 Navi and me, and 20+ humans on the ground and 7 in machines left.

I jumped of iris and landed beside them and started fire me arrows killing 4 humans back to back.

I took my knife and threw it into one of the machines and quickly turned to fire another arrow at another human.

I went to retrieve my knife and saw three other Navi killed. My heart ached but I didn't have the time to feel bad.

I grabbed my knife and jumped on top of the machine that was laying side ways and hopped over to the other one to get a good jump.

I jumped high off of the second on and released an arrow into another machine and smacked a human with my bow as I came down breaking their neck on impact.

I looked at another Navi dropping to the ground and ran over to the other human that killed him and threw him on the ground with all my might and stopped on his chest and grabbed his gun.

I aimed it at all the other humans fired away at them killing the rest of them. As the two remainder Navi were trying to take the machines down a heard of Titanothere's came through the trees knocking the machines over.

Eyes heard me... I thought to myself and smiled.

My smile quickly faded once the last machine standing fired at the three of us and took down one of the other Navi and grazed my side.

I was fine but the other Navi was gone and the woman standing with him held him as he went down. She had tears forming in her eyes.

The Titanotheres stopped on the machines and stood around us in a shielding way.

I walked over to all the fallen Navi and felt Darrow creeping through me. I felt myself going cold and hurt.

"Eywa no!" The woman cried out holding his hand.

I sat beside her and held her close as she wept.

"My mate," she cried.

I felt water forming in my eyes... what if this were me.

"Hey hey what's your name," I asked her making her look at me.

"Del'mak" she said, "his was Alwey, he is my child's father," she said putting her hand on her stomach.

I lifted my eyebrows in sarrow, "I'm so sorry Del'mak," I said putting our foreheads together.

She wrapped her hand around my shoulder, "they must pay, they must die," she said looking at me.

"And they will," I said putting my hand on her shoulder. "I will have you protected," I said sending a message to the surrounding animals.

"Y/n!" Neteyam yelled into the mic.

I could hear how scared her sounded and I felt my ears go back as I felt worried of what was to come.
