The Girl Reborn / Neteyam x reader

First Hunt

We rode out into the ocean as a group with other Navi along with Tonowari.  I did as Jake said and stayed on the side to get a feel for the hunt. 

It felt nice joining, everything was going perfect.  We caught up to a school of big fish neytiri spotted being up higher than us. These fish had only one weak spot on the top of their head in order to kill them. 

We swam aside the fish following them and steering them to wear them out.  I dove under following a fish I had in my sights. 

I followed the fish with my eyes, it was the biggest in the school and knew I had to catch it.  It swam under the school of fish falling behind and I did the same. 

The fish started to swim back up to the surface flowing with all the others.  As it went to the surface I did too.  I completely was tracking this fish.

I pulled my bow riding my Ilu handless as I made eye contact with Jake.  Jake gave me a look saying no and to follow what he said.

I placed my bow back and just rode following the fish still in my sights.  I looked up into the sky hearing Neytiri's Ikran.  I made eye contact with her and she nodded at me giving me the okay. 

I smiled at her and turned my head to find the fish I was tracking.  I dove under to look for it, feeling the water push against me but I held on strong and saw my fish.  I had to wait for it to come back up as my bow it useless underwater. 

We rode under switching sides again until it popped back up. We rose back to the surface, I looked at the fish through my eye brows looking at its weak spot.  In order to get in the right spot I had to be on top of it basically. 

Everyone else was on skimwings so they could just rise but me and my Ilu have to get more force.   I dove down to get the force I needed.  I swam back up with the surface with a lot of force and speed.

I broke the surface grabbing my bow and an arrow.  Pulled back on my bow quickly and released as I got it into my sights mid air afraid it would go back under. 

The arrow hit right on its weak spot causing it to break away from the group and swim before it started sinking. 

I yelled in joy smiling.  I heard Neytiri yell above me following my Navi victory yell.  After I took mine down a lot of other people took down some of their own. 

I broke away from the group to follow my kill down to the bottom of the ocean.  When I got to the floor I thanked Eywa and picked it up placing it on the back of Tyra.  I tied the fish to her and swam back after pulling out my arrow.

I was close to the surface as I could see Jake right above me waiting.  I broke the surface and made eye contact with him and part of him looked proud but part of him looked upset I didn't listen to him. 

"What did I ask," he asked me. 

"To stay on the sidelines sir, but see nothing happened," I told him

"It could have," he said looking disappointed.

"But look at the size of this fish," I said turning Tyra around for him to see.  When I turned back around he softened his look.

"It is a pretty big fish," Jake said slightly smiling. 

"See you can't even stay mad at me, and correction it's the biggest fish out of the group I bet" I told him turning to follow everyone else who has already retrieved their kills. 

We got closer to the shore and I could see everyone standing there waiting for us to return.  I smiled when I saw the rest of the Sully family standing there.
