The Girl Reborn / Neteyam x reader

New Forest

We were flying for hours over the ocean. I couldn't help but to fall asleep at some point. I fell asleep still holding onto Neteyam and laid my head on his back. Neteyam held onto my leg with one of his hands.

"Y/n" Neteyam whispered to me tapping on my leg.

I woke up and looked at him, "what," I asked back.

"Look," Neteyam said pointing in front of us.

I looked out into the horizon and saw massive trees in the distance. I opened my mouth into a smiled and looked back at Neteyam.

"Home," Lo'ak yelled with a victory yell spinning around turning upside down and back up on his Ikran.

Neteyam pulled his Ikran up and made us do a circle. We all had huge smiles on our face.

"You have so much to see here," Lo'ak said smiling and turning to us.

"I know," I said amazed.

The trees just kept getting bigger as we got closer. Neteyam looked at me looking at the trees amazed.

I saw him smiled and looked at him, "what," I said laughing.

"You just Look so beautiful and I can't wait to see you explore our home," he said.

We were flying above the trees. This forest was 1000x's better than mine.

"You were right, about your home" I said looking around. I felt right here. This place felt whole.

We flew into a place where there were many Navi, all looking like how the Sullys look. They made their home in the side of a cliff.

Neteyam and Lo'ak landed their Ikrans on the side as many Navi began to crowd around. We all greeted everyone who came to see us.

Everyone looked so happy that they had returned some greeting them with hugs. Their chief had broke through the crowd to see us standing there. We greeted him and the older Navi that followed behind him.

I could tell the lady was Tsahik and she smiled at the two boys pulling them both into a hug.

"Why have you returned," she asked them. "Where are your parents," she asked worried.

"They are still with the reef people, perfectly safe," Neteyam said, "grandma i want you to meet someone" he said pulling me forward.

When he pulled me forward the crowd looked at me curious. His grandma looked at me curiously and grabbed my arm looking at my skin.

"This is y/n" Lo'ak said

"Y/n" their grandma said looking at my body. She looked to my eyes and got closer.

"Grandmother," Neteyam said stepping between us.

"What is this," she asked pointing at me.

"She has been chosen by Eywa and brought back as a Navi after dying as a human." Neteyam told her.

She looked at me and pricked me with something. She put what she pricked me with in her mouth and nodded.

"Okay then," she said with a smile. "Welcome to our home, I am Tsahik and this is our chief, their uncle" She said pointing to the chief.

I nodded my head a smiled as Neteyam lead me away.

"I am so sorry, I did not think she'd have the reaction," he said

"It is okay, she wants to protect her people I get it," I said still smiling.

Looking around everyone looked at me. Not with disgust or seeing me as weird but looking at me like I was beautiful.

"We will get you on an Ikran tomorrow, as of right now we will rest" he said as we headed into a tent.

It was dark and we were all tired from the travel.  We sat around a small fire as Neteyam and Lo'ak were talking about past memories telling me everything they loved about this place.

I looked at Neteyam and saw how happy he was here, the ocean was beautiful and different but I could tell this place hit differently for him. 

"Hey Neteyam," a girl walked in a waved to him.  She smiled sweetly at him and he just looked kind of awkward.

"Oh hi Seh'ak" he said waving back to her. 

"I never thought you'd come back and I'm so happy you here," she said. 

Anyone want to explain who she is?  I asked myself in my head.  Her and Neteyam Held eye contact for a second before Neteyam looked at me then at the ground.

I looked over to Lo'ak laughing to himself.  I looked at him confused.

"Who is she?" I signed to him keeping it out of sight so Neteyam and the girl didn't catch anything.

"That's is Seh'ak," he signed back.

I rolled my eyes at him, "I got that but who is she?" I asked signing.

"Ohh," Lo'ak signed, "she had a major crush of Neteyam before we left," he said raising his eyebrows.

"Oh okay, I didn't know if they were promised to each other or not," I signed with a slight smile

"Well, she tried to get the parents to do it but we left before either of them said yes," he signed "don't tell anyone I told you this, I don't like her around his cause she's so clingy to him and soooo much," he signed exaggerating the so part.

"How did he feel, about her?" I asked Lo'ak

Before Lo'ak could answer me Neteyam spoke up, "Seh'ak, this is y/n," he said pointing to me.

I stood up and went to shake her hand.  I held my hand out and she slowly shook mine looking at my hand.

"Oh you're one of them, a sky demon turned to a Navi," she said with a gross look taking her hand away.

"That I am," I said smiling sarcastically.

"She's also a great fighter," Lo'ak hollered trying to break the tension.

"Well women don't have to fight to be great, we a nurturers not warriors" Seh'ak said

"You may be, but I am capable of being both, anyone can nurture someone" I said smiling.  "Not everyone can be a true warrior"

"Seh'ak we're going to sleep soon, so you may want to go, we're all very tired," Neteyam said putting his arm around me.

I smiled at him and back at her, she just had a look of disappointment on her face as she walked out.

"You do not need to be jealous love," he said making me look at him.

"I'm not jealous, I'm protective of what mine there's a difference," I said walking back over to to fire holding neteyams hand.

"Can't wait for tomorrow," I said smiling as I sat down.
