The Other Side

Neteyams POV:

I walked into our home and opened the screen that dad taught me to use so I could chat with them while we're here.

*ring* *ring* *ring*
*click*

"Neteyam!" Tuk yelled over the screen.

"Hey Tuk, can you have mom and dad come, I need to talk to them privately," I said to her

"Mom, Dad, it's neteyam," Tuk said sweetly handing off the screen.

"Hey son!" Dad said looking through the screen.

"What's wrong?" Mom asked.

"It's y/n," I paused looking up, "she got her Ikran-"

"That's awesome!" Dad and mom said hugging and smiling.

"That's not all," I said looking back at them, "something happened" I said stopping.

"Okay..." dad said waiting for me to speak.

"The Ikran that first picked her was the Toruk," I said wiping a tear from my eye. "She was hissing at an Ikran and got no response until she initiated with one and Toruk came out of the sky and chased us. She had her Ikran, Iris, tamed in time"

"Ma' Jake" mom said looking at dad with a softened look, "Neteyam, you know what has to happen, she has to honor that,"

"I know mom..." I said putting my hand on my face.

"No Neytiri, you Guy's should come home," dad said, "if there is danger there come home and that is an order," dad says demanding.

"No." Mom and him started fighting, "Eywa has chosen her to lead so that's what she must do,"

They began going back and forth since more trying to come to a conclusion. I sat there waiting for one answer, yes or no.

Lo'ak came running in, "it's y/n, she found out that Toruk chose her," Lo'ak told me.

"I have to go bye," I told the parents.

"Wait Ne-" dad said getting cut of by me ending the phone call.

"Where did she go?" I asked Lo'ak running passed him and calling my Ikran.

"To look for Toruk," he said

"And you didn't go with her?" I yelled at him looking at him in disgust.

"I'm in the wrong whether I did or didn't go with her so let's just go and find her!" He yelled at me getting on his Ikran and taking off.

We went different directions to try and find her quicker. I was soaring on top of the trees looking for my love and getting no where it felt like.

I can't believe she'd do this. I just got her back and I can't lose her again. Where is she??

"Bro" loak said into the mic. I found her and she's calling for him where the Ikrans reside get here now!"

"I'm on my way," I told him turning around to go to where they were.

I flew as fast as I could getting to where they were and trying to catch her before she did anything stupid.

"Y/n!" I yelled getting her attention.  She had already started to try and make a plan to tame Toruk.

Y/n looked over and I just looked at her wide eyed and scared.  What was she doing?  Is she loosing it?

"Watch out," I yelled at her as I saw Toruk coming up and knocking her and Iris off balance.  My heart was in my throat.  I can't fathom it.

"Oh y/n," I said watching her lose control and starting to free fall.  I was trying to get closer but it was nearly impossible.

She began to get control again and part of me was relieved until I noticed she wasn't going to give up. "You shouldn't be doing this,"

"This was chosen for me I am just fulfilling it," she told me and began to go and start again.

I flew away to lo'ak and I was fuming.  She didn't listen to me like it doesn't matter that I care about her and that alone hurts more than anything.

"I'm going back, I can't watch her die again," I said tears running down my face.  I knew in my gut leaving would be wrong and maybe she'd be okay but I couldn't watch her die again.

"She's not going to die," Lo'ak said trying to make me stay. 

"One way or the other she might, either by Toruk or the war she's about to lead" I told him taking off. 

I flew back and landed on the ledge.  I hopped off my Ikran and ran home and threw the plates against the wall.  I was so angry.  I sat down on our mat that we shared last night hoping she wouldn't die.  

"Hey," Seh'ak said smiling at me leaning in the door way.

"You should go," I said to her knowing she had nothing good to say and i didn't want her here.

I stood up trying to push her out of the hut and to get her out especially before y/n came back because I knew that may throw her into a spiral.

Before I could even walk her out she pushed me up against one of the walls and looked into my eyes.

"Come on, I know you know we're meant to be," Seh'ak said grabbing my face.

"Okay first off we are not, you are batshit crazy at this point, and second off, I love y/n more than anything. She is mine and I am hers, I lost her once and I will not do it again, you are not her in anyway. She is beautiful, talented, once of a kind even sacred." I said dismissing her.

"I dont think you really believe that," Seh'ak said leaning in.

"I do and you need to-" I got cut off by Seh'ak kissing me.

I tried to push her off and basically go no where as she would not let go. I grabbed her hands and tried to pry my face away in disgust.

"Hey big bro, you're now dating-" lo'ak walked in and paused talking and walking and started setting y/n down.

There was no way I was going to make Neteyam cheat on you don't worry!!!!

He did not kiss her back!!!😂😂
