"It truthfully doesn't hurt all that bad you know," I said to Neteyam who was trying to body guard me.
"You have a piece of metal stuck in your back, it's has to hurt," he said looking at me to try and tell me not to act all tough.
"You're just jealous that this would hurt you," I said pointing to the metal and sticking my tongue out at him.
"For someone who got caught in the cross fire of an explosion and leading a war you're happy,". Neteyam said
"Well I bonded with your mom who said I can call her mom, and I am toruk Makto." I stayed smiling.
"She said you can call her mom, that's a huge improvement from 'she's a human'" Neteyan said smiling back at me, "you should, cause she's going to treat you like her daughter even though she didn't raise you she will be your step in mom,"
"I know, it'll just take some adjustment." I said as we stepped into the Tsahiks tent.
"Grandmother," Neteyam said to get her attention.
Tsahik looked at me and tilted her head, "it's started hasn't it," she asked stepping to me.
"There was only one ship in which I assuming was going to be a spy ship," I told her, "these are fine but I'm more in need of this," I said turning my back.
She gasped at the met in my back, "come sit" she said pulling me over.
I sat down on a mat and Neteyam followed. Tsahik started to get some of her supplies ready.
"You know it may not hurt right now, but it will when she removes it" Neteyam said sitting in front of me.
"I'll be okayyyy," I said pushing his knee.
Tsahik came over and sat behind me touching the skin around it. I took a deep breath in look at Neteyam. He smiled at me saying I told you so and I rolled my eyes at him taking my good hand and playfully pushing his head a little.
"Are you ready," Tsahik asked.
"As ready as I'll ever be," I said.
I looked at Neteyam and he grabbed my hand to comfort me. Tsahik put her hand on the metal and pulled it out.
"Ahhh MY EYWA," I said gripped Neteyams hand harder.
" let me close this and dress it and you're all done," she said cleaning the wound.
I kept taking deep breaths as she started to close the wound. I looked at Neteyam and he could tell it wasn't a pleasant feeling.
I caught a glimpse of someone starring into the tent. We made eye contact and they turned away.
I don't know who they were but I could tell they wanted to talk to me. They seemed like they had something to say but couldn't come in and say it.
Neteyam saw me starring out and looked behind him. "What is it," he asked me.
"Nothing, I just saw someone probably to see what was going on," I said to him pulling his face back to me.
"All done," Tsahik said standing up to put her things away. "You must be more careful,"
"I know, but I couldn't let that ship and those people have a chance of landing," I said standing with Neteyam.
"We must go and talk with the parents grandmother," Neteyam said and they nodded.
Me and Neteyam were walking out of the hut together hand in hand. I know neytiri wanted to paint me and do my hair so maybe we'd talk while that happened.
"Y/n?" I heard a voice ask.
I turned my head to see the person who was looking into the tent.
"Oh hey, I saw you," I said still not knowing their name.
"Are you okay?" They asked.
I looked at Neteyam and smiled, "yeah I'm okay, what's your name?" I asked putting my hand out.
They looked kind of surprised that I asked and it took them a second to answer, "my name is Melak, can I speak with you privately," he asked.
"Oh sure," I said thinking he had something he wanted to tell me. "I'll meet you back at the tent," I told Neteyam.
Neteyam looked at me like seriously.
"Hey I'm here, I'm safe here," I said dismissing him.
He looked at me and kissed me on the cheek, "okay love," he said walking away.
I turned to Melak and smiled at him trying to be friendly.
"So is it true you got shot as a human and brought back as a Navi?" Melak asked.
I was kinda surprised he was asking this. "Umm yeah I did," I said scrunching my eyebrows.
"Wow... that's like magical," he said kind of amazed.
I looked around getting a little uncomfortable with the way this conversation seemed to be going and the energy he was giving off.
I looked down at my feet and caught a glimpse of his hand. He had five fingers. I knew exactly why he was giving me these off vibes.
"You're not part of this clan are you," I asked looking into his eyes with anger.
"I'm not here to cause a disturbance just to send a message." He said stepping my closer to me.
I took a step back ready to fight.
"Relax, no one will get harmed if you do what I say starting with moving away from me needs to stop." He said stepping to me.
He stood very close to me to whisper in my ear.
"I'm with Quaritch and he has a message," Melak said pausing, "you can stop this whole war if you meet with him later this evening in the forest, he said where you first met,"
"And why would I fall for that," I said snarky.
"Because you don't want anyone else to die do you?" He asked rhetorically, "no one else just you and him, no fighting just talking, and if you tell anyone the war will start," Melak said walking away without even looking back.
I stood there taking in what he said. If there's a way I can stop this war why shouldn't I? Maybe he just wants spider back in which I'll gladly toss him over.
I made my way back to the tent and saw everyone. I wasn't going to tell them any of the plan.
"Are you ready to get your braids y/n?" Neytiri asked me as I made my way in.
I stood there and smiled trying to act like everything is normal. "Of course," I said walking over to her.
"So what'd Melak want," Neteyam asked.
I looked at him and laughed, "he wanted to ask about what happened on the ship and how I was brought back," I said shrugging my shoulder.
