Emilia's POV
He pressed our foreheads together and started kissing me.

He must've brushed his teeth again or used mouthwash.

I can taste mint.

He's sick.

He's doesn't want to marry me.

There's no way.

Someone knocked on his door.

"Yeah?"

"I'm taking your sister to get ice cream. Do you two wanna come with us?"

I shook my head.

"No. We're good."

"Okay. We'll bring you back something."

He paused and waited for his family to leave. He smiled.

"I can have you now."

"Wh-what about, your neighbors?"

"You'll hurt your tongue from biting it if...we do this at night. It's a bit dark in here anyway. What do you want to do? Think."

"I-I-I don't know."

Wait...

I could use this as a test right?

I could see if..he really does love me right?

I nodded.

"S-show me how much...y-you love me."

He slid his hands up the back of my shirt. He unhooked my bra and slid it down my arms. He threw it under his bed. I started covering my eyes with the pillow. He moved it away.

"Arms up."

I put my arms up and he took my shirt off. I went back to covering my face.

"Knees up."

I put my knees up. He slid off the rest of my clothes. He threw them under his bed too. He took off his clothes and they went under his bed. He went back to kissing my neck.

"Ready? There's still time to back out."

"Go."

"3."

"2."

"1."

He went in and I gasped. He started moving. He interlocked our fingers again. They went above my head again. His free hand was digging into my outer thigh.

"Are you okay?"

I nodded.

"Good."

I still tried to bite my tongue. He opened my mouth.

"Didn't I just have this conversation with you? Don't bite your tongue. Do I seriously, have to hold your mouth open so, you don't do that?"

I shook my head.

"Good."

I started moaning. He smiled.

"There we go."

He started kissing me. He pressed our foreheads together.

"I'm sorry, you had a bad day."

"It's not your fault. This is a good distraction."

"It is?"

"Yeah. It's just you and me. I'm only focusing on you."

My head went back. I started kissing his neck. He buried his face into his pillow. He moaned. My nails went up and down his back. While we were getting dressed, his phone started going off.

"Oh seriously?!"

He leaned over and picked up his phone.

"What is it?"

"It's Riley. Hold up."

He brought his phone up to his ear. He didn't stop moving. He covered my mouth with his hand.

"No. I'm not getting you. My mom doesn't want me driving right now. Call Frank or Caleb. Wait, where are you? Did your dumbass get arrested again?"

He rolled his eyes.

Riley's in jail again?

My head went back again. Devin just looked at me.

"Jesus Christ. No. Wait...that's who did it?!"

Devin got off me. I sat up. Devin was gripping the bed sheet. He hung up and put his phone down.

"Riley's the one who got you in trouble?"

"He says otherwise. I-I finished by the way. I-I just lost control."

He started to look green.

"Go to the bathroom."

He jumped up and threw on clothes. He ran to the bathroom and threw up. I got dressed and walked over to him. I sat down next to him. He put his head in my lap. I ran my fingers through his hair.

"You're okay."

"I-I can't deal with this stress."

"I know. I know. It doesn't help that, you're recovering from the flu."

He sat up.

"I-I can't."

"You can't what?"

"Go to school with this shit going on. I-I'll get my ass kicked."

"You're worried about that?"

"Yeah. I-I wasn't kidding. I-I stopped everything. No more fighting. No more drinking. No more partying. No more ditching or anything."

Wow.

He's really trying.

"I've seen what drugs do to people. I-I want no part in that."

"I know. I remember how, you were then."

He sat up. He looked down.

"I miss her."

"I know. We all do."

"The worse part is...I'm the one who found her."

"Y-you've never told me that."

"I just hate talking about it."

I wiped a tear away.

"Have you eaten today? That could also be why, you don't feel good."

He shook his head.

"I uh...I don't eat when, I'm sick."
