Devin's POV
I came home from work two days before Valentine's Day to a quiet house.

"Lia? I'm back. Emi?"

I started walking around the house looking for her.

"Baby? Where are you?"

I went up to our room. She was sleeping. She looked pale.

"Emi?"

She opened her eyes.

"Hey. What's wrong?"

"I-I'm not feeling good. I-I'm in a lot of pain. I-I was just trying to relax."

"Wait...I just realized...you haven't gotten your period in a while."

"Y-yeah. Y-you're right."

She stood up and dragged herself to the bathroom. I sat while I waited. She came back out holding the used pregnancy test.

"Anything?"

"I-I have to wait to see."

It came back positive. She woke up more. I kissed her. We went to the doctor's and got told something that shocked us.

"Twins?!"

We started staring at each other.

"Yep. You're 10 weeks along."

"I don't remember twins running in my family."

"Same. Makes sense why you were in pain though."

"Are you really fatigued?"

"Yeah. I just wanna be in bed all day."

"Your body is working more since there's two babies. You might have extreme morning sickness. You'll probably be more hungry and have to go to the bathroom a lot."

We were given paperwork with more information. We got home and she started to feel horrible. She laid back down.

"Are you okay? Do you need anything?"

"I-I should eat."

"Yeah. What do you want?"

"Anything...I'm allowed to."

I went and made something for her to eat. I brought it up to her. I ran back downstairs to get her a drink. She started falling asleep while eating.

"Woah! Careful!"

"What? Oh...I'm eating...my bad. Hopefully, I'll be better tomorrow."

"Hopefully."

She spent the rest of the day in bed. In the morning, I didn't want to wake her up. I moved hair out of her face.

"Hey love? I'm leaving."

"O-okay."

"You'll call me if you need me, right?"

She nodded. I kissed her.

"I'll see you later. I'll check on you when I'm free."

I lifted up the blanket and saw a bump.

"Be nice to your mother."
