(4 months earlier)

I wake up to a very loud noise coming from somewhere inside my room. I squint my eyes trying to find the source that dared to wake me up from my beauty sleep.

I look up the time on my alarm clock right next to my big and comfortable bed. The bright red lights tell me that it's only six o'clock. Definitely way too early to be awake.

I don't need to search for the source of my annoyance too long until I see my phone with the name "Evelynn" flashing on the screen.

Of course, my dear best friend is probably struggling to pack the right outfits for our one week holiday to Barcelona.

And of course she is awake at this hour, when others like me are trying to sleep.

Evelynn and I have known each other for basically all our lives, which probably explains why we are friends in the first place.

We're very different but the things we have in common tie us tightly together. For example she loves going out with me but prefers to stay in most weekends and watch her favourite Netflix shows.

I on the other hand enjoy fading into crowds and being surrounded by loads of people. Don't get me wrong, I love reading books in my bed while listening to rain beating against a window. But another side of me, the wild one, loves going out. Evelynn enjoys watching Love Island and other reality shows while I'd rather spend my Sundays watching Formula 1 and recovering from the night before.

I would describe Evelynn as more of a quiet and calm version of me. Regarding looks, we are like night and day. She has her straight blond hair, ocean blue eyes and a slightly slimmer body in contrast to my curly dark brown hair, amber eyes and soft curves. Still, we are literally inseparable twins and can hold no secrets from one another.

"Hello chica, how's it going?" I ask her, already knowing that she must be stressing over nothing. Once again.

"Well, I've run into a bit of a problem, I have nothing to wear if we go out..." she admits, sounding defeated. Evelynn continues on telling me how she cannot find her favourite red dress that she simply must bring with her if we are to go out in Barcelona.

Which is not even a question, we are going out. Most definitely.

"Evelyn honey it's six in the morning, how on earth are you awake and packing at this time?" I say and laugh.

Of course my best friend, who makes lists for everything and loves to be organised, is stressing over a dress early in the morning a day before we leave. But you know what, this is what friends are for.

After convincing her that she's stressing over nothing and her dress is probably somewhere in the back of her closet, I hang up and make my way to my kitchen.

I'm definitely in a desperate need of a coffee in order to get through this day.
