chapter 63

As soon as the elevator doors close Pedri's lips are attached to mine. I fist his hair and his hands roam my body. Our kisses are feverish, like we need them in order to live. His tongue slips inside my mouth and he pushes me against the wall of the elevator. Thank god no one is around to witness this.

Pedri's the one to break our kiss as he pulls slightly away and looks at my flustered face. For a while I can only hear our heavy breathing and the humm of the elevator. Pedri's hair is ruffled and his lips are slightly swollen. He raises his hand to my face and traces my lips with his thumb. While my sight is focused on Pedri's eyes, his eyes stay on my lips.

"I missed you so much, mi cielito. Significas demasiado para mí. I don't know how to function without you anymore," He whispers just before the elevator pings and we basically jump apart from each other.

The whole of England's team is standing in front of us, waiting to get in the elevator. We're only on the fifth floor so that's where their meeting must have taken place. They all stop talking and their eyes keep darting from my face to Pedri's.

"Hey little Mount and... Pedri. How's it going?" Jude asks us while the others are still trying to figure out what's going on.

"Hey Mads..." Mason squints his eyes at Pedri and steps into the elevator with Jude, Jack, Phil and Declan. The rest of the team stays behind to wait for another elevator.

"Hi Mase, was the meeting good?" I pretend to be all cheerful and act like I wasn't making out with the man next to me a couple of minutes ago.

"Yeah it was all grand," he responds and gives me a weird look. Mason is standing right in front of me in the all too full elevator.

Jude stands next to Pedri and they start talking about their F1 predictions for next season meanwhile Declan and Phil keep staring at the two of them.

"Hi Mads, did you already miss me so much that you had to stalk where we were?" Jack asks. He's standing behind me, his arms wrapped around my waist and he decides to give my cheek a kiss.

I can feel Pedri's stare burn holes into to Jack's arms and the spot on my cheek he just kissed. Everyone else seems to be oblivious of what was going on in the elevator before.

The elevator stops on the 8th floor and Pedri makes a move to leave. As I'm about to exit as well, Mason grabs my arm.

"Where are you going?" He asks me and I just stare back at him.

"I uhmm... Gavi, the boy who Evelynn is seeing, has something and his friend here came to get me. But I'll see you later, okay?" I stutter and quickly escape the elevator. The boys eye me suspiciously but decide to not say anything. Mason just nods and mumbles a 'see you later'.

As the doors close Pedri bursts out laughing and I walk up to him with a frown on my face.

"What's so funny?" I ask him and he pulls me in by the waist so that our foreheads are touching.

"Your brother looked like he was going to lock you in your room and interrogate me. And why are they all so touchy with you?" He mumbles, his grin so wide that it covers most of his face.

"Come on guapo, stop being so jealous," I whisper before shutting him up with a deep kiss to which he eagerly responds.

As we get to Pedri's room, Gavi is nowhere to be seen so we're all good. I wrap my arms around Pedri and just hold him close to me for a while. It's stupid really how you can miss a person you haven't known for that long and even more stupid when you were only separated for about a day. But he's on my mind constantly, whether I like it or not
